Applied another fix for error handling CQL lookups. I don't know exactly what causes the database to return an empty table when there's actually results, and I cannot reproduce it locally. However I fleshed out the error handling logic branches a bit more to see and catch it gracefully without impacting UX.
I'm very emboldened after yesterday. It feels like the attack stopped almost immediately after I applied a few easy tweaks. Eventually I'll need to get real logging set up, but I don't have very good logging because it's antithetical to my "wipe everything and reinstall it fresh" ethos that lets me completely reconfigure our entire stack in a few hours even if everything goes down.
