I didn't think about it at first, but now I'm looking into it. I completely buy into the idea of him faking this email. I went to go into old emails of me requesting bodycam footage of lolcows, and every single one I've received has contact information to the person I'm responding too. Another thing that threw me off was the shit grammar in the email. I'm not one to shit talk someone's spelling/grammar, but the email comes off as not professional. I could be looking too deep into it, but I don't put it past them to fake emails for Internet clout.I also want to highlight that most police departments have profile images, and email signatures.
I'm calling it now -- this is fake.
In Gmail, "show quoted text" refers to the feature that hides sections of previous emails in a conversation thread when you're composing a new reply or forwarding. This feature helps streamline the display of long email chains, making it easier to focus on the current message. You can expand or collapse the quoted text by clicking the "show quoted text" link.
