Konami Plans To Revive Some Series & Get Indie Devs Involved

I propose that Metal Gear was good despite Kojima just like the original Star Wars were good despite George Lucas. Death Stranding/the prequels is what happens when they have nobody to tell them to reign in their autism some. Now we will see if those new guy turn Metal Gear into Disney Star Wars or something worthwhile.

Add Metal Gear Solid 4 and Peace Walker along with Death Stranding and you'd be dead on.

Haven't gotten around to playing those yet so I wouldn't know.

Just a warning, Metal Gear Solid 4 has an amazing first two chapters, and the rest ends up being mostly cutscenes that tell the most phoned in finale ever.

Peace Walker is okay I guess. The story is dogshit like everything post MGS3, but a lot of it's gameplay issues were due to the PSP so I guess if you play the console ports you'll be fine.

Here’s hoping we get Rumble Roses

That game, and it's sequel deserves a multi-port release, specifically on the PC. It sucks that they're both stuck on the PS2 (1st game) and 360 (2nd game).

I thought Blue Point were remaking Silent Hill and Metal Gear 1?
For the past year or two we've been playing this game where there are headlines ANONYMOUS SOURCES SAY EVERYTHING YOU EVER WISH WOULD HAPPEN WITH THESE OLD KONAMI IPS IS GOING TO HAPPEN GIVE US CLICKS AND VIEWS DON'T FORGET TO LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE TO OUR CHANNEL ON YOUTUBE every few months and everyone keep falling for it. This has got to be the sixth or seventh time I've seen this identical headline and promises that Konami/Sony/Kojima/Jesus Christ Himself are going to announce something at [x gaming event]. Then nothing happens at the gaming event, people forget about it, and the exact same identical headlines are run again a few months later.

The Blue Point thing you're referring to is the TOTALLY CREDIBLE RUMOR that was going around earlier this year.

That's why I've learned to always keep my expectations low when it comes to any gaming announcement event. That way, when something comes up that I'd be genuinely be interested in, I go "aw, cool! I'm gonna look out for that!" instead of "THIS ISN'T MY MOST COVETED GAME OF ALL TIME, THIS SHIT SUCKS REEEEEEEE". And if my most coveted game IS announced, it's a super-pleasant surprise instead of "FINALLY! TOOK YA LONG ENOUGH, RETARDS! GAWD!"

Kotor is getting a remake and insomiac are going a full violent wolverine game. Anything is possible.

I also (re)heard the rumour of Legacy of kain remake.

It's entirely possible that Konami has been working on stuff. Where there's smoke, there's fire. But I remember a year ago the guy who leaked Resident Evil 8 was screaming to the high heavens that we're 100% getting a new Silent Hill game and he has all the insider info blah blah blah. Turns out that all the new Silent Hill stuff he was seeing was....

DLC for the game Dead By Daylight. Weirdly, the leaker got very quiet about this supposed new Silent Hill game after that.

So it's the same case here. The gaming press is getting very loud about some new Silent Hill stuff, but how do we know that it's a new game? How do we know it's not just DLC for another game, or another round of skateboards? Because there's no due diligence here, these people just try to spread a rumor as fast as possible to get all the clicks and likes and retweets and never put in any work to verify it.

So, if you plan on playing KOTOR anytime in the future, stick to the original, because the remake looks like it's gonna be a dumpster fire of EPIC proportions.

Edit: Added archive of the tweet, just in case.
I didn't think bioware was involved? I thought Disney specifically requested EA to stay the fuck away after their last few abysmal star wars games?

Besides, she could just be writing a side plot or mission. And to be perfectly honest, almost all stories in gaming are dog shit nowadays. The remake won't recapture the magic of the original plot twist, no matter how good it is.

If the game is fun to play, I'll play it. But, knowing how shit is going nowadays, I expect it to be less rpg and more action, which will be the real killer.
