Kotaku weighs in on NES games - "gaming journalism"

Easy and cheap to develop games for, huge userbase... similar to what happened to PS2 and this should apply to the NES too.
I'm starting to notice this with the Switch, very indie friendly development system, there's a lot of games getting physical releases from non AAA publishers. Thankfully most of them have been good (we're not going to talk about Troll...) but variety for any console always leads to hidden gems to discover later. This is what makes the NES and SNES library so unique, there's lots of games people overlooked and continue to overlook to this day and are still finding out are good and worth the time to track down and play. Good examples are games like Whomp Em, Power Blade, Kickmaster, Vice Project Doom, Shatterhand, Journey to Silius, Astyanax, Shadow of the Ninja, Panic Restaurant, Rockin' Kats, Kickle Cubicle, etc. The list goes on and on.
