He's one of those people that can't stand being laughed at. He will never laugh at himself. He hates being mocked. See the thing is, when you laugh along with the joke at your own expense, it kinda kills it for everyone else. But when you go " STOP HARASSING ME! REEEEEEEEEEEEE!" it's going to goad the crowd into attacking you further. Hence why Kurt Onii-chan is getting ripped to shreds on Twitter (and it is glorious)

For Eichenwald, people also come up with making excuses when others see the porn. In this case, a simple google search would of sufficed if he was trying to convince his wife. Even then, this all comes off as a pathetic excuse of why he's looking up anime tits.

So he and his kids went on a hentai site to look for tentacle porn to prove to his wife that it's a thing and somehow couldn't find it despite e-hentai (the site he had that tab open on) having a search bar, and a search on that site for "tentacle" gives you just over 15,000 results as of a few minutes ago. Also he didn't even have to do that, he could have just went on Google Images and searched "tentacle hentai" with safe search turned off.

At least all those homophobic televangelists didn't double down on denial after they got caught with twink hookers.

That's an amazingly unconvincing excuse. Right up there with "I tripped and fell anus-first onto that bowling pin; it was an accident!". And to drag his kids and wife into the excuse is just embarrassingly low. Way to throw them under the bus, I'm sure they wanted no part of this.
