I'm not saying the man is a pedophile, that requires damning evidence. But I am saying that if someone were to build a pedophile death ray that could seek out and identify pedophiles, put it on Neptune, then fire it randomly into space, it would somehow manage to travel through the solar system, enter the earth's atmosphere, and target Kurt Eichenwald.

Then, there's the specific issue of lying about seizures to try to cover his other lies. Even if you assume he's not lying about that, it would still mean he's a severely mentally ill person who probably still shouldn't be a journalist because he apparently can't remember anything, so his reporting is obviously going to be incompetent and inaccurate.

If he ever does take the stand in this case, he should be cross examined vigorously about this whole child porn affair. Either his testimony is unreliable because he doesn't have a functioning memory, or it can't be trusted because he is a pathological liar.

He can't even adhere to the most central ethical principle of journalism, and that's his actual job.

Oh, plus I'm not sure he's a pedophile, but he definitely has connections to child pornographers, has given money for the production of child porn, and he definitely totally looks like a pedo.

The fact that he's still respected by his peers says a lot about journalism in general.

I believe his excuse on the $2000 was that it wasn't given as a journalist but as a concerned private citizen. A private citizen who didn't immediately call the police when he thought a 14 year old was being sold for sex. So even if you believe he wasn't paying his sources, you have to believe that he put writing a story about this industry above the safety of a 14-year old being sold for sex.

And I still can't get over his "seizures caused me to forget paying more money" excuse. Apparently a side effect of epilepsy is finding out you sent money to people working in the child porn industry.

But like you are saying, this shows exactly how many ethics exist in the journalism industry. This guy should be seen as a pariah.

Thing is, epilepsy, or at least anti-convulsants, can cause some memory loss, or absent mindedness. But more along the lines of, "I forgot where I put my keys", or "what's the name of that one actor?" NOT, "Did I pay some kiddy porn actor?" And even then, he'd probably have that kind of shit written in his notes. Unless he called the guy right after he had a seizure (and then you're usually pretty woozy and not really able to hold a very detailed conversation), he's full of shit. And that pisses me off big time. (I hope to god this fucker doesn't still drive)

I HATE it when people use their disabilities as an excuse to be assholes. You're condition is so severe that you can no longer be in control of your actions? Then you should probably quit your job, and be under supervision. Otherwise, then you need to suck it up and take responsibilty for your actions. You can't have it both ways.

It never ceases to amaze how petty this guy is, it's incredible that he managed to become an internet tough guy during middle age without realising how fucking childish it makes him look. And why act tough to fucking richard spencer of all people, that's not exactly going to make the trolls go away any time soon.

Thinking about it I'd pay good money to see a fight between Kurt Eichenwald and Richard Spencer
