I suspect that several modern Journalism programs just throw up a picture of Kurt while lecturing their students “don’t be this guy!” By even modern loose, shoddy and depraved standards of Journalism Kurt is in an extra special class all by himself.

Funny your bring this up: I took a journalism course once awhile back, and one the topics they went over was social media ethics. Given just how important social media is today, a lot of journalism courses really try to make their students focus on maintaining some form of a social media presence. During our discussion on ethics, we were given various examples of how to and how to not behave as a journalist on social media.
