I looked up the book to verify his claim about it being “non political.” Let’s just as I’m pressing X to doubt.
Say what you want about Bush 43, but I’d hardly call this non political. One of the most popular criticisms he faced during his presidency was that he was a lying retard who milked 9/11 for all it was worth. The cover of this book alone reflects those things. Then there’s the description for his book.

Trump was apparently going to negotiate with some Taliban leaders, and the meeting was going to come together at a time that happened to be within a week of September the eleventh. He didn't publicize this because his political enemies like to try and sabotage his diplomatic efforts, which they of course proceeded to do by suddenly "re"discovering their belief in 9/11 being a sacred and important day instead of the "get over it, losers" that they've been sneering since 2002.
Basically Trump was going to do what they spent roughly seven years demanding Dubya do, never once cared if Obama did, and they all shit their pants and had a tantrum over it. Kurt's just trying to ride the wave as an excuse to move unsold copies of one of his shit books.

Let's assume the Taliban had decided to put on their big boy pants and act as a government instead of a terror group for thirty seconds, and didn't bomb random convoys while trying to negotiate. That was something the Dems in general tried against Trump for like two months as one of their weakass attempts to get Republican voters to turn on him, back before half their party announced they were running for President on socialist policies.
