I mean, we've seen that he'll personally fund child porn in pursuit of a story, and make up a story about getting gay raped in a desperate attempt to sell a few copies of his latest book. (spoiler: it didn't work.) Kurt's morality is a very murky area to explore.
Also, Kurt, your whole family's locking themselves in your house? I thought your kids were adults who lived their own lives (and live in different states). And your wife is a doctor. I guess it's a good thing that there's no kind of public health crisis going on that would, y'know, make doctors' jobs really important or anything.
