Kurtis Conner is a Canadian post-Vine YouTuber with over 3.8 million subscribers (as of late April 2022) and is a complete faggot who thinks making Twitter-tier videos about problematic content that he considers "comedy" is somehow something with actual brain cells would want to watch. Kurtis used to have a thread but was locked after 1 reply due to how completely trash the OP was, but god damn it, I'm going to give this one an effort because I'm tired of seeing this smug faggot in my YouTube algorithm all the fucking time.

His content
Like I've said before, a good amount of this guy's content just completely stinks of Twitter-tier cancellation shit, and even Wikipedia says this is what he's built his whole YouTube career off of (archive).

Some of his biggest "cancellation" videos include a video on a convention with MRAs (something that only a fringe amount of people would even go to and most would see as insane shit):

There's a massive list of shit I could go on about, mainly because he inserts this "saying (x) is bad" shit randomly in his videos. One example I can think of is him saying it's bad to call Canada "the Great White North" (because white people I guess?). I've time stamped the part of the video where he says this:

His Twitter seems tame, not the usual political slapfights and shit. It's mostly him promoting tours and making painfully unfunny jokes to be honest.

I've seen enough of his PC jokes and shit to just groan to the point I don't want to see him in my algorithm (but I know Wojcicki will recommend anyway). I'd imagine too if you saw at least half a dozen of this guy's videos you'd just get tired of him telling you what to think to the point you just click off and never watch his shit again.

Agreed, as it stands it's just one of the many, many annoying unfunny youtubers, nothing particularly juicy about this guy in the OP.

Here's a tip, making a thread isn't going to remove him from your youtube recommendations, the actual way to remove him from your recommendations is to click the three dots beside the recommendation and select 'Don't recommend channel'. Problem solved.

1. NEEDS MOAR INFO

This is a very threadbare post with very little information; This isn’t to say that the information itself isn’t useful, but it lacks that which is substantial for a good lolcow thread. This reads like a small post in the SJWs Thread, which isn’t going to attract all the eyes on this site, but at least it has a place on here.

2. It’s Barely Finished​

The OP doesn’t just lack a lot of substance, and not just the meat required for a decent lolcow thread, but also a lot of important information as well. There is no section for socials, and there are no video archives yet. Iirc, there was a small controversy about how one of his friends or a guy he collabed on videos with was apparently really shitty toward his girlfriend, and Kurtis delayed addressing it until it became impossible to not address. But even that wasn’t very interesting, as everyone kind of moved past it.

If you really want to talk about a more insufferable content creator, Mr. Beard comes to mind. He’s a guy who doesn’t really seem to go for lighthearted comedy with his videos, and instead opts for moral condemnation toward how this creator of the month is incredibly problematic and needs to be cancelled called out for it. He’s put out videos going after Trisha, David Dobrik, and others online, which earned him a big shoutout from H3. As much as I dislike the guy, I still can’t say if he’d have enough to earn his own thread.

Mr. Beard is easily the most insufferable of the bunch and I am pretty sure he is sub-botting his channel. A couple of months ago I even discovered my burner was subbed to him despite not watching a single video of his. The discovery led me to write a fucking essay and I am conducting a study around this very specific corner of the commentary community. You may have noticed Kurtis and his body of work are mentioned.

If anyone here spends enough time on YouTube then you know that the algorithm favours specifically what has been dubbed as the commentary/reviewing community, which is mainly spearheaded by ex-Viners (Drew Gooden, Danny Gonzalez, Kurtis and Eddy Burbank) and some drama channels like D'Angelo Wallace. The community initially was just another spin-off of the larger commentary beast until the last Adpocalypse, which forced them into either only reviewing LifeTime-tier movies or doing callouts in the form of channel reviews. This format proved successful enough that has spawned even more imitators than BreadTube and has outshined it as the premier leftie grift. Watch just a couple of movie reviews or video essays and the algorithm will bombard you with 40+ minutes worth of a cissy-looking nobody paying their student loans through finding problematic undertones in a Dreamworks movie. This community has grown massively fast and has become the leftie equivalent of the PewDiePie pipeline, being even more effective for their usage of Reddit and Twitter.

Off the top of my head, some names besides Mr Beard would be CJ the X, Noah Samsen, Chad Chad, AreTheyGay, Sarcastic Chorus, oliSUNvia, James Somerton, graysons project, F. D Signifier, Princess Weekes, Tara Mooknee, Jarvis Johnson among many others that are either too irrelevant or further fade into the larger Breadtube umbrella. Some lesser members of leftie grift like Big Joel, Jack Saint and Quinton Reviews on their latest incarnations are part of this incestuous circle.

Mayhaps it is time for a specific thread for this kind shit because as insufferable as Kurtis is he probably is only a couple of years removed from "solving" himself from the bigger picture.

Agreed. Of the big normie-commentary channels, Kurtis is by far the most insufferable. Drew Gooden, Danny Gonzales, and the rest are far better at not just comedy but portraying themselves as at least a bit more intelligent than mildly retarded.
