For sure. This moron, for an animation reviewer, doesn't seem to actually speak to live sources for ins info. I don't know where he got most of his information, but if it was from Kyle, that creep has spun stories to lead his moronic followers away from the truth for years.View attachment 6334751
Somebody fucked up
To start with, he was in LA long before he got his "big break" with Moobeard. That opportunity was handed to him by a friend who worked at Nickelodeon at the time Fred was looking for pitches and had a direct connection. He got very lucky. That friend also got Andrew (the person's account in the above tweets) his pitch opportunity, as they were all friends at the time.
Before that, Kyle had been trying to desperately weasel his way in with his idol John K's entourage. John found him abhorrent and shunned him from the group. Kyle licked his wounds for a time, and moved on quietly while the bitter taste of John's rejection festered. Once he got Moobeard up and running, the ego monster exploded, and he started trying to call John out for being a bad artist or whatever. He was obviously really burned by John's former blog post (I think his old blog was called John K's Stuff, or something like that), which demonstrated how characters with too much "'tude" (like Kyle's) were cringey and tryhard, and was trying to lash back. Too bad it made him look like a sore pussy drama whore on DeviantArt - the very home of sore pussy drama whores.
Seems like after that, Kyle was trying to do some damage control by making it sound like he wasn't at all influenced by John's style, but instead by artists who influenced John himself. His stans ate it up, of course, but those of us who were there knew better.
What I love here is that even John - whatever you may think of him - knew Kyle for what he was almost immediately, all those years ago. Pretty telling.
