An upcoming guest speaker at the University of Memphis is stirring up controversy.

Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted of killing two men and wounding another during a Black Lives Matter rally in Wisconsin in 2020 when he was 17 years old.

Some have stated online they plan to protest the event by signing up for free tickets and then not showing up. They are asking others to do the same, so Rittenhouse will have to address an empty room.

Students and local and state leaders are all weighing in on the guest appearance. They say allowing Rittenhouse to appear on a campus whose student body is 40% black makes students uncomfortable and sends the wrong message.

“I was baffled to be honest. This is clearly an event that is here to incite anger amongst a predominantly black college in a predominantly black city where MLK was killed. They knew what they were doing with this,” said Joe Griz, a University of Memphis student.

Democratic representative Antonio Parkinson says this is a learning experience, arguing that first amendment rights must be upheld for everyone’s sake.

“Whether you like Kyle Rittenhouse or not, I abhor him. However, he is a part of our history now, believe it or not. And so, if you have an opportunity to hear while the person is here, take advantage of that opportunity,” said Parkinson. “I also don’t believe that we should be suppressing freedom of speech. I think that, just as we allow Rittenhouse here, other what would be deemed controversial speakers, those that may be African American or others, should be allowed as well.”

Rittenhouse killed those pedophiles during the Floyd riots, an event based on black idiocy and many people are convinced those two he shot were black.

It's weird but for some it's also likely deliberate to keep painting Kyle as a white supremacist. There was an actual nigger that attacked Kyle, in the court documents they identified him as "Jump-Kick Man" but Kyle never shot him. If I remember correctly, he was the first one of them to actually hit or take a hit at Kyle when he fell before, he popped Huber and Grosskreutz.

I didn't expect such a based opinion to be shared by a politician.
It's the bare minimum, only notable because it came out of the mouth of a Democrat in 2024. He did preface it by saying he abhors a minor who acted in self-defense against a pedophile who was trying to harm him, so what little credit he earned there is cancelled out.

Never could.

Which is why campus "activism" was always a "roll your eyes" type of thing to most people. Why it's still dangerously treated as something we should just let go on because "they will learn when they enter real life"... But a funny thing happened after the ~60-70s, the schools and political elites started treating it as deadly serious and they started treating it as one of the main, most important goals and aspects of higher edu. (as long as it's the "correct" ideology) Not only taking them seriously but dictating all sorts of things on campus.. even what is taught.

We need to force schools to tell them to sit down, shut up and learn.. not dictate.

Why would he be invited to speak?

He shot people in self defense it was justified and that isnt just personal opinion but legal fact. With all that said... what exactly is he going to talk about that would be a interest to a university?

Seems like some weird publicity stunt

Are niggers and progtards really that threatened by the idea that they'll get righteously smoked if they try to attack someone?
Unironically yes. These people wanted Kyle's head for the unspeakable crime of not wanting to get beaten to death by barbaric communists. This also has nothing to do with niggers other than him being present during a peaceful yet fiery BLM protest. But of course Kyle opposed the current thing and now he's a heathen and a target to the left, specially BECAUSE they couldn't kill him or jail him for life, that's what bothers them the most.

I hope the college is providing clear directions for students to avoid being shot by Kyle KKK Rittenhouse.

1. Do not form a mob and chase him
2. Do not discharge firearms in the air as you do so
3. Do not corner him and try to grab his gun
4. Do not try to club him in the head with a skateboard or any other improvised weapon
5. Do not point a gun at him

Challenging requirements I know but somehow I suspect the average student will be able to manage it.

Kyle was apolitical but vaguely pro-BLM -- the sentiment, if not the organization or the activities done in its name. (TPUSA says he will be addressing "the lies of BLM," but we'll see.) He went to the protest to provide medical assistance, and gave first aid to several protesters. His experience with the justice system cemented in him a belief that innocent people, including juveniles, can be railroaded by that system. Anyone who believes the justice system is unfairly targeting their community should pay attention to Kyle.

They, rightfully, blame him for putting up a hard stop to the Summer of Mostly Peaceful Arson and Love (tm) - notice the major city-wide "protests" pretty much went on hiatus for the trial, and then never came back once he was acquitted.

They know they can't pull that shit again without there being at least one Rittenhouse in every city..... and their irregular forces aren't willing to risk themselves unless the government is backing them up.

Rittenhouse was very lucky that the two bullets he fired at Maurice "JumpKick Man" Freeland missed. If they'd connected, his fate would've been entirely different.

The prosecution in the case knew the identity of Freeland but hid it from the court as he was a recidivist felon out on bail for assaulting his gf at the time of the incident.

Yeah, remember some some wanted to dictate like Cora Segal? She became a internet meme known as Trigglypuff.

If they want to dictate, be ready to be turned into internet memes like Trigglypuff or a bit further back in time, Big Red, Aids Skrillex and Carl the Cuck. :story:
