Electroshock AND troonery are both extreme physical attempts to fix a mental problem. Is the extreme physical measures of dealing with mental health issues a Pentecostal thing?

But electroshock therapy is actually quite effective and still done. You're sedated so it's pain free now.

It only takes a few minutes and you're back in action soon after albeit with a potential of memory loss.

The psych ward I worked with had individuals who would be admitted yearly for a week or two, so they could undergo ECT as it controlled their really bad mental health issues better than any meds. They'd go, get zapped and be back within hours cheerful and ready to roll.

Anyway, that's my quick little sperg on ect. If anything, franny needed more sessions.

i honestly hope that one day the world will wake up and they will see the troons for what they are: clinically insane, deeply sick people that need lots of medication and therapy in order to solve some of their biggest mental issues...

Troons can bitch at us cisgenders all they want, of you search a bit online you'll find hundreds of detransitionned people, most of them in their early 20's who we're offered hormonal therapy and even gender reassignment surgeries during their teenager years (!!!), but also some who transitionned as adults.

They're all stating more or less the same things. Their disphoria was hiding another mental illness that was left unaddressed. Trooning didn't fix it and in most case, made it worse. They were offered gender reassignment as an easy fix, with little to no therapy, with the promises it would magically fix everything. Worse, almost all the ones who transitionned as teenagers were told it was safe and easy to reverse.

They all agreed one day, in 20, 30 or 50 years, we will look at all this mass hysteria that is hormonal therapy and gender reassignment surgery given at large (even to kids, ffs) the same way we now look at lobotomies. A medical error that should have been reserved for some very rare cases, and not given at large as an easy fix.

Can't say I disagree.

Yes theres a correlation. A trait of autism is the ability or even the need to focus on certain narrow, specific topics. A half retarded auttist might obsesses over Disney movies or sometimes just one specific film. One with average intelligence might sperg out about trains. And Those with higher IQs often turn their focus to select subjects that include a lot of details which some others might find dry or boring such as very specific categories within the hard sciences. Of course, you don't have to be autistic to be a scientist or interested in science. A lot of science is fascinating, it's just that those with autism can focus on super obscure facts and details that might put other people to sleep. Another autistic trait is a kind of psychological reductionism, inability to see things as a unified whole, rather than a happenstance collection of parts.

So you see them try these bizarre kitbash attempts at femininity, with the lipstick and clothing and boob implants and so on. They just don't perceive that the essential intangible quality of womanhood is completely missing. To them, a duct-taped assemblage of womanoid physical characteristics is as good as a woman.

This can be a good quality in a scientist -- science is all about breaking things down into their parts and dissolving false abstractions. But it can just as easily lead to weird fetishes and troonery.
