Landscape art, particularly of naturalist scenes, has fallen out of style with the turn of the IMO. However, particularly for North America by my observation, art played a serious cultural role in the development of distinct national cultural identities for countries such as Canada and even the U.S. With that in mind, its about time these works got some love again.

To be serious, I hadn't thought about synthetic art as being a part of landscaping. I want to say yes but I fear that will inevitably tread into weirdcore/"liminal spaces" which wasn't my intention in making this thread. Digitally produced landscape art that follows natural artistry is fine though.

J.M.W Turner is pretty good as is John Martin. Thomas Cole is probably my favorite American landscape painter but i'm not super familiar with stuff from outside of the Anglo-American tradition.

I don't know how to upload pics to Lord Protector of the sperg realm Joshua Moon's specifications. Please don't send me into exile.

This is a painting by Hubert Robert, known for painting ancient ruins in an contemporary context. Would highly recommend checking out his work. He's a master of light.

As an additional note, I've got this as a framed canvas on my wall. I took a heavy dose of mushrooms last summer however and I get dizzy and my heart starts racing every time I look at it now for some reason.

Corner drag helps, as well as not breaking your mind with drugs

Anyway, here are more Group of 7 pieces, this time from WWI
