Fan of the classics, eh?

Powerlevelling here (don't worry, I can take the ribbing) I myself have hundreds (possibly thousands) of pictures comprised of vintage female fashion advertisements. Leather, fur, silk, vinyl, all sorts, with pic related being my most recent acquisition to keep things relative to the thread.

It's weird, since it's far from the sort of material I normally fill my hard drive up with, but I've always been somewhat mesmerized by them. The tall coats, the thin leather gloves, the big chunky boots. It is absolutely a fetish, but not to the point I'd ever want to wear this sort of stuff myself and troon out. I'm not that sort of a freak. I just aesthetically adore the fashion women wore from the '20s through to the '70s, with a bit of '80s stuff too (mainly the outrageous hair styles and the insistence every coat had to have an hourglass shape).

It's kind of a shame it all died out before the end of the 20th century, as they all have a form of "class" that modern female fashion lacks. It's why I can't bring myself to hate the recent Cruella movie, because of all the outfits Emma Stone wore in it.

  1. It's a struggle to pull off the whole look, which is why it mostly survives as winter fashion.
  2. Youtube and Insta stars pretend to be subversive, so everyone is wearing Crocs. It's part of the resurgence of 90's "dgaf" fashion. (Probably good for multi-millionares to dress like poor people in this time of civil unrest.)

Same, other than my crippling addiction to redheads I'll take a dark brunette with light colored eyes any day of the week. Blondes have to be super blonde to get my attention, the lighter blonde the better. Forget bottle blondes, most of them look better as brunettes anyways, they don't have the coloring for it.
