Found via facebook spam. Virtual autopsy of a fallen alpinist made by CT volume rendering.
The man's gear is ancient, like, the harness seems to be from 70's, he has massive carabiners from 70's or 80's, while the 3D image seems to be more modern. Either is this method of imaging here longer than I thought, or they used old data, or the man fell while trying out vintage gear. The oldest occurence of this image I found is from 2013.

Could it be he was a recovered body from a mountain where they don't make those body retrieval expeditions often and he remained frozen and preserved? That looks like it hort baaad
