PUCK YOU SIR

Ahem.

Anyhow. Flag burning. It triggers me. Not because I'm a super patriot, but because it's pathetic, really; a lazy and meaningless form of protest against nothing in particular other than to be an edgelord. It's like, oh, I don't know, flapping your arms and having a shit fit when someone disagrees with you, or listening to Rage Against The Machine. Abuser with a power complex my cunting arse her old man is. Someone who tried and tried to help and bent over backwards to assist her, more like, but was sick to the back teeth of her ridiculous antics and taking his money while acting like a spoilt teenager.

I don't know anyone, online or offline, who's anti military who's not either 15 years old or a perpetual university student, usually on some sort of fluffy skive-off college course.

People who burn flags always think they're making a more significant statement than they are. In reality nobody witnessing this action gives a shit, and if they do it's for the total opposite reason than what was intended. Nobody sees a flag burning and thinks "yeah, I hate America now!". Nationalism might be stupid, but mindlessly poking the bear doesn't get you anyplace nice either. This is a good way to alienate people, not to spread any sort of awareness.
One reason I don't generally associate with the far left is their pathetic inability to understand that the rest of the world doesn't interpret shit the same way they do.

It's hard to explain how deeply I loathe these privileged millennial tumblerinas. Her poor father gave this rancid, fat little cunt everything she owns, and she has the audacity to behave like this. It sounds like the extent of this "abuse" claim is that he told her she needed to lose weight (she does) and become a presentable member of society (she isn't).

Props to Dr.Dad for handling this with grace, despite the overwhelming sadness he must feel at what his daughter has become and what she is heading towards. I don't have much to contribute here, but goddamn this makes me feel some genuine hatred.

The thing with flag burning is it's not really any kind of protest. It's just edgy attention-seeking. You're not saying anything other than "Fuck America!".

When all those guys burned their draft cards during Vietnam, they were making a much better statement. Anti-war demonstrations in the late 60s/early 70s weren't always civil or quite to everyone's taste, but protesters back then sure showed much more grace than anyone doing it now.

"Communist."

"Actual Princess."

The staggering narcissism, arrogance, and stupidity of these types boggles the mind.

"Overthrow the class system. Treat ME like a princess."

Would it be a surprise to anybody that these people want the establishment demolished just so they could assume the top position? They'd rip each other apart if they actually succeeded.

what she is heading towards..

I see a godawful folk-punk band in her future and a period of poverty, followed by spitting out a few spawn and coming to the conclusion that violent socialist revolution is impossible and that Hillary Clinton is the best candidate the American left can hope for. She will take a civil service exam and gradually turn into everything she hates.

This will all happen within the next year.

In theory people burn flags to either symbolize that the government no longer represents its people.
In practice people who do this are edgy teenagers with no conception of actually meaningful political activity, so they settle for brainless confrontation over content.

Lolno. Ever see footage of anti Vietnam protests? It was hippies and college student's rolling around in filth, throwing bricks through windows, and shrieking at veterans. They were every bit as classless and idiotic as today's Tumble idiots. The only difference is back then they didn't have the internet to document their retardation.

Here's a book you can read which chronicles the abuse returning soldiers got from "peaceful" protestors including being spit on and racial slurs.

Guess I should rephrase that.

At least protesters back then had a reason.

And in fairness, a lot of people felt really ashamed about how they acted back then. There's a reason why harassing and insulting troops is now a total taboo outside of Tumblr instead of a mainstream form of protest.

Honestly I'm inclined to agree with you here. Just the way she's butting in and arguing on Leah's behalf like that. There's something really ghoulish about it.

Edit: Jammer thinks 'tism means she can dictate what people do.

I'd disagree. Flag burning can be a effective form of protest, it's the context that matters.

Burning a flag because your country has done things you find a disgrace can be an effective protest, you just have to have to want to advocate something aside from "screw you, America" to address the problem.

In the case of this cow, it's just edgelord whiny shit, and I don't blame her father for being pissed off. Had she been protesting something meaningful while not acting like a spastic, I doubt it would have been half as insulting as her "fuck you, dad" reasoning.
