Tbh, my political leanings are probably closer to hers than his, but it's pointless to even have leanings if you're not going to try to reasonably present your ideas to people with different opinions, and it sounds like he gave her plenty of opportunities to do that. If you're semi educated, it's really not hard to explain the benefits of a $15 minimum wage or present examples of democratic socialism already in place in America. She had no interest at all in doing that, and not only that, but she very much lived a life of middle class privilege where she wasn't really affected by low wages and no universal healthcare, so her progressive leanings arent really about improving the american system, but are more of a tool for her and her friends to theoretically masturbate with. She's a brat. Hopefully it's an age thing, but it's probably more of a Tumblr thing.

If the lease is in her name, she would have been required to submit proof of employment before being allowed to move in. Rentees, you see, don't generally rent to the unemployed because the unemployed can't pay rent. Should the tenant become unemployed, it depends on the laws of the state and how compassionate or cynical the landlord is, but they are allowed to terminate lease contracts on loss of employment.

And if the lease is in her father's name, if he decides to quit paying, she's just SOL. At the very least she'd have to apply for the apartment herself, and without employment she's got zero chance of getting into anything that isn't government subsidized minimal-income housing, let alone her dad's presumably nice apartments.

That dad is the hero that would have solved a lot of problems our country is facing today. If anyone's heard Milo Yiannopoulos's statements on this - you've seen the little communist flag waving and socialist-supporters in colleges. He's done numerous speeches at colleges - and they're all filmed. The greatest question he's ever asked, "I wonder what's going to happen when your parents - the people giving you your free meal ticket - see you up here, threatening people's lives, to riot, and shouting like children on their dime." I think this is what would happen if a lot of parents found out what their children were doing. Most of these idiots only get away with it because their parents are too busy working and making a living. It's a sad day when people in their twenties have to be introduced to reality by the time they're in their twenties. Then again, I grew up poor, so I know the value of hard work and the idiots in my college who were doing this sh** just got laughed at.
