Left-handed PC gaming - The most oppressed class

I'm far more pissed at not being able to switch the handedness of my character in an RPG. I'm already used to having to use righty shit due to equipment availability (golf clubs, bows, etc) but the characters holding a gun or sword wrong handed bothers me.
Particularly for first person games, how the fuck hard could it be?

As far as control schemes for keyboard, time is far better spent evangelizing the use of a ESDF layout for movement instead of the WASD layout. Far more versatility.

I used to re-bind games to use arrow keys, but after a while that got too annoying and I ended up just using WASD, its cramped but it works. I ended up getting a tenkeyless keyboard so I can shift it over to the right more. What's the worst though is finding a mouse. I was lucky enough to find an open box Deathadder left handed at the store once and I've used that for years

Just recently I got a Naga left handed, but you have to custom order them from Razer and they cost double the price of the right handed model.

It's pretty good, but I hate Razer and their garbage bloatware you need to install to change your DPI. It sucks that the only lefty mice are the two razer ones (only the Naga is still for sale) or some weird alien dildo ergonomic mouse. Or you can settle for an ambidextrous but miss out on extra buttons.

I am so envious of you. I used a right handed death adder for a long while before I switched to using my left and that mouse was the only thing making me reluctant, it’s so great. The weight, the size, the side buttons, I love it. People, or maybe mouse manufacturers, seem to want mouses that weight nothing and I hate it. Feels cheap. I love how much heavier the death adder is than everything else. They stopped making it left handed so now it’s like 200 bucks to get one. I have the naga and hate using it because all the buttons on the side are pretty uncomfortable and obtrusive if you aren’t playing an MMO. It’s also just too small for palm gripping. I’ve settled on a razer viper. It’s ambidextrous though, not left handed. It’s fine, not great.

This has never bothered my for some reason. It would look weird if the gun was on the left side.

I noticed this right away after I got the Naga. My issue is that I've had my death adder for so long that the mouse feet have worn down (I used to use a hard mouse pad, but switched to a soft pad after it sand-papered my mouse feet), even after switching them out once they got worn down again just on the soft pad.

I like the extra keys since I don't have a numpad but I still do creative work in Blender, so they extra buttons really help. I usually end up holding it at an angle though because of the placement of the buttons and the contours of the mouse. I think if I ever go back to playing competitive FPS games I'll switch out to the death adder just for that. I just wish there were more options for lefties. Right handed mice have so many different shapes and you can find one that fits your hand perfectly, but lefties are stuck with two extremes.
