It stems from images of people failing to draw swastikas as graffiti in attempts to be offensive, which has been circulating since the early 2000's.
You just draw a "plus" sign and have blades come out 90 degrees to the right from the tips, it's really not that hard.
See, that would be funnier if these people hadn't made a concerted attempt to ban anyone who uses a swastika, even in a historical context. This just makes them look like massive pussies.
