My theory:
Left-wing views are currently more socially acceptable than right-wing conservative/populist/nationalist/whatever ones, so outspoken lefty activists are more likely to be normalfags who are only exposed to boomer-tier wall of text image macros on regular social media and don't really understand memery or the *chan culture that spawned it.
