Legend of Zelda thread - Lorefags GTFO!

After Wind Waker, imo, Zelda never looked better than this:

I forgot about that teaser, yeah that shit looked amazing despite Nintendo never following through. After 13(+) years of new Zelda being cel-shaded, I'm ready for a change of scenery. If nuZelda looked like that I couldn't complain much about it (besides the lack of a compelling story, the buttfucked lore, the lack of quality dungeons, the lack of area theming, and the inability to simply move and swing your sword at the same time like TP did in 2006).

Like how Breath of the Wild lifted from Skyrim, the next open world 3D Zelda should lift from 3D Grand Theft Auto, and you play as Ganon and wreck shit and steal the One Ring from Hyrule
I know this is about 3D Zeld but with how well Echoes of Wisdom has gone over I hope they do a game focused on power where you play as Ganon. Even if it is set up as ‘there is another big bad that is stopping you from being big bad only for it to end at the start of fighting Link’

Easiest way would be a prequel to Echoes of Wisdom.

tbf, this is pretty much the same as the gamecube techdemo with Ganon and Link from OoT fighting, they just made these to look like the next gen version of the games from the last gen, in this case TP probably because it had a more "realistic" artstyle so it could show the power of the console better.

I'm probably the only one who likes the current Ghibli-esque style least of all the styles they've done, I'm certainly ready for something else. It looked nice once but it better not be the default now.

I don't wanna rant about dungeons again but yeah, those are a problem too.

You don't know what you got til it's gone. I didn't think I'd care that much either, but Zelda IS dungeons, imo. I would also say music (more than just themes) used to be a very important part of Zelda. The Ocarina, Howling, the Conducting wand, (multiple) Harps, there was always an instrument to play or notes to remember. It kindov seemed like something that set it apart.

Yeah, the dungeons are the main course in Zelda. Exploring in itself can be fun but they too it all together. The music is of course important too, to the degree it's been a main focus thematically on multiple occasions. The combat has never been anything beyond serviceable though, it's just fine (which is all you really need).

If there was one thing I wish they'd add it's more RPG elements. They've flirted with it in various ways to varying degrees already, just go all-in with it, take some notes from Ys.

Absolutely true. I said it earlier in the thread, but it's crazy how this feels so much more like a real Zelda game than BotW and TotK, even though the other two have more "Legend of Zelda" features.

Hey wait, this seems backwards.

I think I kinda see a tongue there so there's possible slobber, so I guess that's close enough.

It's just a hood.

She wears it because imposters claim she caused the rifts and is hiding, you can take it off later.
She's more covered in Twilight Princess.

If anything that makes it look even more like a burka because the point of a hood is to obscure the face so you'd think there will be some shadows in it. While the burka looks like how it's depicted in CalArts shows being very bright and not doing the thing it's supposed to do.

Sounds like you have Muslim Derangement Syndrome. It's just a hood.

I hate those shitskin ragheads as much as the next guy, but this is just silly.

Trust me sir, it's an anime hood.

If it weren't I would use the Hood Remover Mods.
