Lego introducing a new theme through a solid free to play point and click game will never not be one of the best decisions they have ever made. The promo animations and "news updates" that came after and continued the story afterwards that had the same style to them were fucking incredible too. When you take into account how weirdly hostile the lego bean counters were to bionicle since the start (bizarre stipulations like having to call what are clearly weapons "tools" in promo material and shit being one of many examples of what came of that) it's kind of incredible how they even allowed something that cool to exist.

The uploader really shouldnt have made this version unlisted, fucking 150 views, god damn.

The "bionicle community" has apparently deemed it and the follow up promo stuff non canon now because it wasn't written by greg farshtey which is retarded. That's like saying anything not written by ian flynn isn't canon to sonic or some shit.

No amount of written prose can capture the raw feelings of that place.

Unless it's hobby autists resin casting or 3d printing stuff or one guy doing one guy things, yeah it's likely not gonna end well in CURRENT YEAR. Especially if they make trans shit their personality.

I've been over here the last decade now watching people 3d print variants of like every unreleased or prototype lego thing ever, bionicle included. I've seen people literally 3D SCAN OLD LEGO PARTS OR RESIN RECAST THEM TO AVOID PAYING SCALPERS OR GET SHIT IN COLORS YOU CAN'T GET A PART IN. Lego has never once shut any of these people down, lego doesn't do games anymore either save for the TT licensed stuff, and people 3d print shit based ont he figures in those games all the time! Only time I've seen lego go after anyone is shit like leaking sets, and even then they kinda don't do that too effectively. It's really fucking unrealistic IMO that this fan game that was supposedly so close to completion that they had a whole "original ip idea just in case!" gets a convenient takedown for being a bionicle fan game. I haven't seen this shit happen to any other bionicle fan game projects, I haven't seen this happen tot he mods that turn games into lego versions of themselves, why the FUCK would this one be any different? Yes I'm retreading what I was rambling about earlier a little bit but I REALLY gotta emphasize how unrealistic this shit feels. Your description of the situation with the devs also pretty much solidifies my hunch about it being all fake further if development was that much of a mess.

At some point I hope to order some more custom parts off one of the many people out there making them, though I haven't built much in a while I have gotten several masks.

Resin parts are toxic and are brittle with poor clutch power. They will never be as good as real molded parts. 3d printed parts + lego CAD software has enabled the most annoying retarded thirdies to post slop alongside 0 effort OC DONUT STEELS in rainbowpuke pridevomit.

Do not buy from any of the big casters either. Almost all of the are in a big gay tranny cabal. Im not fucking joking. Essentially all major lego community figures have ties to 4chans /biog/ and run every contest and discord. Its really fucking annoying. When Bionicle died the first time, /biog/ was the only place to discuss, then it moved to skype, then discord, and now its just a hive of namefags infighting.

TLDR people like Socketball Masks, KHingK And other names are all in a gay club and are fiercely protective of their market.

Resin can be brittle yeah, but it's only toxic when not cured. People use either casted or 3d printed resin and the latter tends to be less durable unless they got like a specific semi-flexible thing going on. I've also seen like 0 rainbowpuke pridevomit stuff so far but maybe that's just because I've been getting the stuff from random people I find that do it and do it well enough. Being completely isolated from the "community" kind of helps too, especially when it's now just troons and value speculator culture vulture fuckers. I just quietly enjoy my time occasionally grabbing some used parts when the rare case of them being cheap comes

I have no clue who the fuck any of these people are but I have a resin recast of the mask of life I got from a guy for like 12 dollars or some shit and a spraypainted gold 3d print of the original design of the mask of life with the rabbit ear horn things. Also got two movie makuta heads i haven't used for anything from some mexican guy on ebay like 5 or 6 years ago that were really neat and a bit different than most of the ones i've seen out there despite being slightly similar in exterior appearances. None of the people I've ordered from seem to be whoever the people you're talking about are. I think i vaguely recognize some names, just not from anywhere I've ordered shit from.

The going merry would have been perfect if it wasn't based on the netflix version's colors. I have a schizo theoryt his was originally meant to be based on the anime version because the head of the ship is still clearly shaped like the funny round stylized head from the manga. Usopp contineus to become further unrecognizable sicne he's based off the guy playing him int he netflix version who they didn't do anything aside from outfit to make him look usopp like. They have a head with a nose that they used for their minifigure collector series that would be perfect for anime/manga usopp.

My schizo theory is made stronger byt he fact shanks is just literally his original design rather than the netflix one. I mean yeah the netflix guys are somewhat already based onthe source but shanks just looks like an official version of the bootleg lego shanks figs i've seen over the years.

I recently bought the Lamborghini Countach, and I also have the Porsche 911, Land Rover, Corvette C1, and the Senna Mclaren MP4 F1. They're good rainy weekend builds.

All the new SW sets got revealed, would list but there's 9 sets. TLDR;

Genuinely an awful time to be an enjoyer of LEGO or Star Wars. The battlepacks have traditionally been a cheap way to get a bunch of figures, namely clones... Now you get to pay $45 bux for 4 clones missing their waist capes and 3 droids. The new Turbo Tank is the smallest piece count and most expensive Turbo Tank yet. Similar for the Slave 1. The Ewok buildable statue is terrifying looking, genuinely fucking who is the market for this set? The best set out of the bunch of, in my oppinion, the Force Burner Snowspeeder. Not too badly priced and it looks like a really fun set for kids, and has a bunch of cool parts for older fans like the new cockpit glass.

I'm a fair weather SW fan at best but this is genuinely shameful. Not sure if it's price gouging from LEGO and/or Disney or tariff crap but it sucks that everything in life must be enshittified.
