Here's what the F1 blind box series will look like:
1732191719995882.jpg

Absolutely amazing. It's like the revival of Tiny Turbos on a large scale rather than free polybags you may or may not find at the store, and I love that. The helmet pieces look pretty interesting, and I'm sure people will like the different-coloured minifigure heads.

Also, a never-before-made Jedi Starfighter!
1732204378162504.jpg

I have tons of these, so I'm mainly interested in this for R7-A7. That's a minifigure/droid I've wanted for years.

The City F1 sets are basically smaller, simplified Speed Champions sets, so they're not as impressively detailed as Speed Champions, but I think the smaller scale is fun, and there are still some cool sets:

Also (we don't have any images to back this up) City Space is going to be an evergreen theme and there will be a new faction. WE WON!!!!

I've been piece mealing together some various parts that are adding up in price due to shipping from different sellers, but my goal right now is to make modernized remakes of the non-og space classic space guys. So far I've got a few blacktron 1 torsos from rench coming in, would have gotten more but resllers kept sniping them out of my cart whenever I was going to get them. Got ice planet torsos from the recent CMF blind boxes (from cheap resellers, not the blind box itself because FUCK THAT SHIT LMAO and tried getting the OG visors for them but also i along with the other torsos I was going to get so they're visorless until I get a replacement. Might get blacktron 2 guys from that mutant one but I'd need to find legs that work and aren't expensive on their own., as well as black arms to replace it. Right now I'm using the space police III-galaxy squad space helmets for the custom blacktron guys but I might use a different yet similar helmet like one of the modern motorbike helmets for blacktron 2.

I forgot to bring this up I think, but I have a bunch of Blacktron II third party kits from years back from brickforge I still need to get figure parts for but those are like heavy armored guys based on halo ODST rather than standard blacktron. Brickforge still exists but they seem to have less options than they used to color wise. They also seem to have a new blacktron style torso that's still blacktron 2 but has more detail. I'd be all in if not for the white line on the visor on the new one and the fact you can't buy it in a kit. Still might get them someday but it's not top priority.

I can't find actual images of the kit I have a bunch of anymore on image search (save for one promo pic on some probably virus german looking website) which is weird because it used to show up really prevalently for the last like several years because it was a really popular kit. If I ever get the ice planet CMF figure in full it's gonna pair well with these "bricktron" guys I've got like 10 or so of.

1732223733241.png
there's one youtube review that shows up when I search it on youtube that shows off the stuff it came with that's not in that promo photo.
Jesus fuck it was over 10 years ago these came out already?

They look like they're the same size as the old xalax racers. I kinda hope they are because I got a bunch of the little goblin men figures by themselves for free during lockdown before the reddit resellers decided some of those mass produced cheap sets were "rare" and worth 300 dollars. Not selling them because I like them and don't think they're worth that much. I'd rather own something I like than watch it go down the reseller ping pong scalper hole.

My God, that looks so cool. I had no idea Brickforge made Space stuff; my only experience with their products is a bag of random parts I got for free at a con a while back. I should get this.

Like I said I thinkt hey stopped making that kit because I can't find iton the site, but I can find that seemingly updated armor that's more like a hybrid of blacktron 1 and 2 with the way it's black with white paint and the B logo.

Also just for future reference the rench torso is the blacktron 1 remake torso witht he blacktron 2 logo on it.

1732224853242.png
At this point it'd be cheaper/easier to hunt down the figure in used lots with how frequently I'm getting sidelined from getting some more of the torso lmao.

Off-topic but anyone remembers LEGO Elves? It's a fairly new-ish IP (2015-2017/8 )
I think this set looks really promising, I like that green portal on top of the fortress.
They tried this and (iirc) a few others when they made the minidolls, but the only thing that stuck was Friends itself and the Disney Princess lines.

They even tried an "Elves" TV show, it obviously didn't catch on.

In other news, the Friends line is 12 years old now. Most people playing with it weren't born when it came out.

As to why they're doing all these sub-themes in "City" - it's because City is well-established in the LEGO company, and you can get a subtheme set or something like a pirate ship through relatively easily. Creating a new theme (or reviving an old one more more than a LEGO Ideas re-release) is much more "expensive" internally; so the designers don't really bother much.

They know the remakes of old themes would sell well though. They wouldn't be constantly bundling remakes of them as "pay 100-300 dollars for this bonus 30 dollar set!" shit they've been pulling the last few years. It's either they make it a 100-300 dollar set or they make it a timed exclusive you need to pay an exorbitant amount on other shit to buy. Also these different "city" theme spinoffs still count as technically different themes. Shit like Stuntz, space, etc. it may all say "city" but it's like clearly not the same theme. Pirate ships aren't a thing in city at all either, those are now SOLELY relegated go GWP and expensive ass diorama sets.

I think they know it'd sell "OK" but they know where the money is with those, milking the nostalgia of older buyers.

They attempted somewhat of this with the Lego movie; I suspect the sales of "spaceship spaceship spaceship" were high enough that they continue to dabble in it, but not high enough to make it a dedicated product.

After all, a dad who grew up loving the Forestmen might buy a similar set for his kids, but the kids will clamor for the themed sets (though I've not really noticed any kids giving a shit about Star Wars or even much for the Marvel; though Mario is a huge hit around here).

They threw a pirate ship into "Creator" which is their other quasi-themed dumping ground: https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/pirate-ship-31109 I mean, it says CREATOR on the box, but that's a pirate ship. No Black Seas Barracuda, but not half bad, either.

Whereas https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/eldorado-fortress-10320 is clearly nostalgia bait (though it went on clearance at Target, which is the only store besides the LEGO store I've seen carry these big ones).

https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/lion-knights-castle-10305 is another obvious bait; a decent deal and a nice set but fuck it's $400.

(To be fair to LEGO, the Black Seas Barracuda came out in 1989 for $110, today that's $280 or so - $400 for the Castle isn't a bad deal.)

In other news it's been 35 years since the BSB came out, and 23 since the re-release.

lego movie 2 had a 4 pack of spacemen that sold really well to the point I could never find it in stock anywhere lmao. Also wasn't talking baout the creator sets as those are and always have been "designers fuck around and make whatever as singular sets" kind of stuff. Though creator now has the standard of every build being 3 different options in one. I really wanted the castle/town one but expensive and you'd need to buy 3 of them for the full experience of that. I do like how they've started occasionally including minifigs or making the builds minifig scaled lately that's great.

I'm probably going to either get the forestmen or blacktron I ship set remake if I can find a seller that's got them for around their listed MSRP of 30-ish. The fact lego even GAVE the sets an MSRP despite them being locked behind exclusivity of paying a shitload of money on their site is an added insult IMO.

Many of them seem to be recolours of each other, which is kind of lazy, but oh well. Also peak cringe right here:

At least it's not a Twitch car, I guess?
I've been really interested in what the general public (AFOLs, Redditors/Trannies) has to say about the Kick car, now that it's getting out to some of the talking heads. The reactions do not disappoint.

Kick?

Lol, the only reason why it's Kick is because it's normally Stake, but because of gambling regulations in many areas of the world, the team runs with Kick branding there.

This shit better come with a Bossman Jack lego man with a little broken keyboard and a bag of crack he can hold.
We need a rat sticker to put on the spoiler.

These people are about to be shocked to find that F1 cars use be plastered with massive cigarette ads and the toys reflected it.

Oh my science! A post of mine got put in community happenings and the Lego thread is blowing up!
Geg Reddit newfags don't know about SPACE PIMP. Sadly that comic was never digitized, but the set he's from is pretty cool -- it's got tons of strange pieces in gold (including the exclusive minifigure head and the engine), a trunk, a secret bike that can pop out (sadly it would probably be a six-stud shooter that can pop out if it were made today), and a hidden missile.
Bro he trooned out? Holy fuck, my childhood
He was always a perv; apparently he coomed over Lego minifigures on 4chan years ago. I remember the pretzel girl stuff, but in retrospect I was too young to understand that.

The McLaren MP4/4 has a Marlboro ad, but the Lego version replaced it with a Honda sticker.

Hilarious. This creature's featured video when you click on his channel is about he's totally moving past lego because he doesn't care about collecting anymore. but he's still making lego sloptent. He claims to have sold 40% of his collection (I giggled).
He also claims aspirations to screenwriting. I can only imagine what dark thoughts lurk behind this gaze.

Justin will never make his tranny movie. He's never even made a short film, and he expects that he'll find investors for this piece of crap he's going to write, produce, AND direct. God, that faggot makes me angry. Imagine having an incredible dream job and throwing it all away because you want to be a tranny and your rich Asian boyfriend has sex with you in his Lego room.
