He was really popular from 2016-2021 because he always had new leaks, reviewed both new and old sets, and made videos on really obscure stuff. He was genuinely good, but when he started being a stoner and finally trooned out he lost lots of productivity. The only people who still like him are tranny diehards.

I mean, Lego cut ties with Shell in 2014 for disregard for the environment, and now they have Shell cars again. I always liked the Shell stuff; the 80s/90s sets still hold up today, and the Ferrari pit stop was the most mind-blowing thing to me when I was younger.

The thing about the Kick F1 team is that they fucking suck and rarely if ever get any air time. I watch the races every week. If a Kick car (there's 2) is ahead of any other team's one, that usually means something is either mechanically wrong with it or it just crashed.
They currently in the 2024 season have literally 0 points. For reference, the 2nd to last team has 17, and first place has 593.
I doubt anything significant will happen with these Lego sets.
Nobody will care except me because I love how degenerate Kick is and I got a soft spot for underdogs.

I find those blind boxes interesting (as i have already said) but I've seen so many fucking lego people on youtube griping about them and how they have no "value" because they aren't full minifigs. The past decade had some great stuff like Ninjago, Chima, and Nexo Knights. It feels like their quality has gone downhill only since 2020, when the AFOL/MOC dust collector set mentality began trickling down to the kids' sets and play features began disappearing for extra detail. Leave the detailed stuff for a few big D2C sets.

To me the "magic" was gone a long time ago. Just a few complaints, some of them autistic some of them not:

- Changing the default "LEGO face" at some point (adding white pupils and eyebrows)
- It's enraging that some of the new pieces are similar yet different from their old sets, stuff like the redesigned LEGO skeleton or the flame piece...or just making various alterations to the bases, like changing City's road plates or the constant redesigns of the railroads. That's my biggest complaint, arguably
- Everything is either all licensed sets or original IPs that are meant to be whole media franchises
- Killing a decades-long alliance with Shell due to activist reasons
- An over-reliance on custom pieces
- Ideological bullshit, it wasn't a big deal when they had no military/weapon stuff, it started to become a problem when they did stuff like the pride shit

I can't understand why anyone would cry about it, just don't buy it. Lego has collaborations with Harry Potter whose author annihilated 753 billion trannies in a fiery genocide, Shell and Volvo (um, CLIMATE CHANGE???), Disney, Soytendo and so on. There's so many stuff to bitch about, no one should care. Don't buy it.

I still own that piece because it's a fucking magnet and magnets are useful. Fucking love me some magnets and miss when lego used to like magnets to the point the'd occasionally put out shit like this or M tron. I never owned any M tron sets but i got parts from it back in the day. It's like how I didn't own any blacktron till like some weird help/behavior reward thing they did in like maybe like middle school or some shit. I forgetthe context of whatit was or how it was but some staff member atone of the schools I went to had a bin of random shit including a ton oflego parts and minifigs and I got a few parts each time I didsome shit I can't really remember for some reason right now. Wasn't anything fucked up being doneit was just like a thing they did, wasn'tjustme getting the bonus for helping out with whatever it was but IIRC the parts were like donated by someone that didn't want them anymore. Somewhere in some bin in the house I got those big fucking B panels from blacktron 2 I've never used with anything significant sadly.

The default lego face is still the one without the pupils and eyebrows technically, it'sjust notin any of the themed sets. Occasionally they put out figures without the eyeshine or eyebrows but it's usually like individual characters like lego chris pratt from the lego movie. Personally I always liked the eyebrows/eyeshine when applied well to figures. Some faces look wrong and fucked up with eyeshine while others are enhanced slightly via it. I don't like the recent trend of changing detailed eyes to solid dot eyes on minifigs. That and revision/replacements they make for parts that look like shit compared to the original.

This image I found of the current star wars lego emperor and vader showcase a lot of myissues with some of the more unfortunately done aesthetic revisions of modern lego.

Also there's the fact they can't seem to print right on darker colors anymore save for some exceptions like the recent ice planet remake torsos.

Lego had f1 cars before, just not to this degree of "all at once"

The little go-kart car they included in a shitload of sets or by itself was marketed as an f1 car and they had a slightly larger one that was like that too.


You probably saw this one above in some lego related media shit. It's been in a lot of stuff to the point people sometimes just think of it as "THE" lego car.

Most actual BRANDED ones over the years with actual complex builds tended to be just ferrari themselves or shell, sometimes both.



Hell they even have had them in the speed champions sets a good several times before these ones, just not built the exact way these new ones are.
