So the photographer thing, he isn't really wrong. When the whole thing got started, there were very few people involved, and no one really had time to take a bunch of photos for promotional stuff, grant applications etc. Except for Shaner. As you've all figured out by now, Shaner takes tons of pics, good or not, he has a shit load of them, of everything.
It's not that he was the "official" photographer, back then, there simply wasn't anyone else to do it. In mid 2014 a guy who actually worked in film/photography professionally began volunteering, and he quickly took over all the social media, promo, and photography, which infuriated Shaner. Shaner tried impersonating the pro photographer here with the sock @Photographer.

Easy, the town owns the railroad. If Shaner had been about causing a nuisance there, they'd figure he'd do as he's done at Colebrookedale which was hover as near to the tracks as humanly possible before then trespassing. So banning him from everything is a precautionary thing and probably far cheaper for them than having to revisit him later when he screws around again.

He was told numerous times in the beginning of the old thread exactly how to get everything to stop. You can see how well that advice was heeded.
