On Thursday March 17, 2016 I was out along the Harrisburg Main Line at the former Royersford station watching NS replace the main Street crossing, when this rude (Fat) RR. boss yells at me. " You're not allowed to be taking photography of the Men working. Because it goes against their Union laws. First off I was on public property and Second I don't work for the Railroad, so how would I know of they're Union Laws?
I rail fan from public properly from "legal areas" I shouldn't have to worry about crews harassing me. I'm tired of seeing railroaders act like gods around rail fans.
As long as there's been railroading, there's been the railfans taking photography.
"former Conrail" Steven Zuby :These union guys are so scared of the Railroad and their union. News flash their union sold them out years ago that they are afraid of one another. They should clean house and demand the BMWE stand up for them against the railroad. Every union meeting I was in, the rank and file would bemoan the contract but when push came to shove they fell.
If these guy's are doing the job they were trained to do correctly, they shouldn't have to worry who's watching them. "
I been rail fanning for close to 40 years and this is the first time I ever had some goon come over a YELL at me!
