So, I apologize if this has been addressed before, but we're about 700+ pages and most of my memory is put toward trying to remember what Len is calling Knight Rider whenever he pulls him out.

So, to @Gook Choy, @Pocket_Sand!, and anyone else that has personally interacted with Len. How was his hygiene? Like, it's obvious that it certainly was considerably worse than the normal individuals - the guy shit himself to get out of work for Azir's sake - but, like, was there anything else about him that was... terrifying from a hygienic standpoint?

Like, to draw some Chris comparisons, does his hair look like it has more grease than your average McDonalds meal? Does he smells like rotten cabbages and possibly believe that Axe Body Spray works as a suitable replacement to showering? Are his fangs horrifying pieces of yellow bone that have nearly rotted away?

Basically, is Len the Plague Horseman of the Apocalypse, or is he more along the lines of "Doesn't shower weekly?"

So I've started to write a small part of the Wiki article and I'm currently at the education section, so I just want to take some time and go through some of these facts and what you all might possibly think about them.

Shaner's linkedin page says that he went to High School from 1982 to 1989, which would mean he spent 7 years in High School before POSSIBLY even graduating, but then it also says that from 1986-1989 that he went to a vocational high school (not a vocational college, a vocational high school) which is likely where he got his horticulture "degree" from.

Now I'd just like to discuss some of your opinions and possible theories that could explain these years in question.

Do you think I'm overthinking things and that this is just a classic case of Len being stupid and messing up the years, or do you think it's possible that those years are actually accurate? All things considered, I would find it hard to believe that even in special education that Len could pass high school in 4 years.

It wouldn't surprise me that if because he wasn't able to graduate in 4 years from 1982-1986 that his parents would enroll him into a technical school so he could at least enter the workforce. Or perhaps the two schools worked out a deal to allow course credit to transfer between the two.

Anyway, what do you all think?

He said he was held back twice. Also I spent some time in a vocational high school which was used for all kids in the 10 main high schools in the city. Those of us in the vocational school still received diplomas from our "home schools" so we were effectively in two schools at the same time. So I think the way he wrote it could be correct: 6/7 years in traditional high school with the last four spent also at a vocational magnet.

I imagine working outside or in an industrial environment around metals and paints does much to mask personal odor. In a retail environment, though, it's much more difficult. There's no way he could hide taking a dump in his pants and that happened a handful of times in his Sears career. Personally, I never worked closely with Len in any sort of close-quarters capacity other than a few truck nights and when he waddled out to the sales floor for a few minutes, but he definitely had a foul musk around him. He has been described by former Hardware Manager Rick as "a block of blue cheese melting in the noon day sun." Sheila, the woman he tried to force himself on, said he smelled like a combination of "spicy Fritos", "wet dog" and "ass." This probably stemmed from his dirty house and inability, or want thereof, to change his uniform of knee-high schoolgirl socks, jorts, tucked in rail T-shirts or the few times he would wear ratty overalls in preparation to go volunteer at the yards.

I'm not surprised at all he was held back a few years. I was in a couple special education classes (I took normal classes when it came to academics, but I needed some extra help for social skills) in High School, and although I graduated in the typical 4 years I knew many people who didn't. The "intelligence" Len has displayed is right around that of many of the people I knew who got held back. Do note though, that Shaner is definitely an anomaly in how much of a horrible person he is. The people I met were so sweet and innocent and just all around good people, and despite their mental issues and lack of social skills I absolutely do enjoy checking up on them every once and a while. Heck working with people like them as a teacher is even a career path I'm considering. Most of them don't realize getting held back a few years isn't normal, which is a good thing I think. In this case, ignorance is definitely bliss.

Len is a great example of a lolcow experiencing massive cognitive dissonance. He can't believe that people aren't fooled by his constant bullshit so he thinks that if he tells these lies enough times people will start to believe them and he'll be vindicated. At times, I even think he believes these lies himself when he's trying to pretend to be someone else like Thomas Johnson or whatever he can think of.

He gets really stressed out when people tell him the truth and part of this is a way for him to play out his fantasies about others and to stroke his ego online. Before people would just shrug off a lot of the shit he says because they knew that he was slow in the head and childish, so it was harder for those folks to go further and take him that seriously and in Len's mind, it was likely a victory for him.

Do you think Len was coddled by his mother? I'm sure that since he is in his 50s and still living at home that is the case. They probably had to pull some massive strings to get him into that vocational school and out the door with a diploma. I assume he never tried going to even a community college.

Bad B.O. is not really tolerated in industrial settings either. When I was being hired to do cleanup at a sawmill, the charge hand told us to wash up at least once a day, as he had to occasionally send workers home because they would stink up the break room really bad.

LEN AND LAWYERS - IS HE THIS STUPID?

As we already know, Len is going to court for a couple of charges and has said that he was going to defend himself. Now, while he's since referenced a lawyer, he seems to continually reference this thread as "evidence" that he'll use to countersue the CBD RR for... some reason (payback?). While many lolcows before that have been confronted with actual legal action have bowed their heads and let their lawyer hold their hand through the entire process, I would argue that Len is not most lolcows, so here's the question:

Is Len dumb enough to actually attempt to countersue the Farms or any CBD RR people based on anything in this thread, and

Assuming the former is true, is Len dumb enough to actually fire any lawyer that tries to tell him that he is being irrational and actually attempt to defend himself in order to work in his Kiwi defense?

In a sane world, I would say no on both accounts, but this is not a sane world, and this is Len.

Poor choice of words because my legal knowledge is absolutely terrible. What I mean is whether or not he'd try to use anything said to threaten us in any legal manner.

Momma Shaner seems fairly with it from what I understand, but she's pretty much incapacitated due to her advanced age. She knows her son is an irredeemable asshole, but can't do anything about it at this point. We don't know much more than that, unfortunately.

As for his doubling down, I'd say that's a pretty accurate assessment. It's a pretty common cow response to take something that doesn't work & simply do it harder, probably for that very reason.

I don't know about the US, but up here in Canada you need to 'set court' before you can start a civil suit, and there is a $20,000 fee to do so.

If the fee is similar I can't see Len trying to sue anyone unless he liquidated everything he has.

From what I'm aware of (Law kiwi's can correct me, since I only worked in family law) it's relatively cheap compared to Canada to get a civil suit going, but it also depends on the state and what the type of suit. Time your lawyer spends working on the case (retainer + % given to them after the civil case), filing fees, etc will all change the price. In some cases you can have the fees waived entirely based on your income.

Filing fees aside (let's go by them being cheap), unless a lawyer was crazy enough to do this case Pro Bono, it would likely be entirely out of Len's financial reach unless he represented himself. Which would be hilarious.

EDIT: Oh god.. or him getting some poor paralegal he thinks is an attorney that just wants to fill out paperwork and go home.

Len is dirt poor. If he wanted to sue anyone, he'd have to find a lawyer willing to work on contingency, and no lawyer worthy of the name would take his case because they'd know he has no grounds to sue and thus no chance in hell of winning.
