Fellow Kiwi's, I believe we've been too insensitive to Leonard Shaner's needs. He's been lashing out at rail roads because he's not comfortable with himself and now we can see why. Coming out can be difficult for anyone and especially hard in the later stages of life. We need to be supportive as he starts this new chapter and help him overcome the challenges he'll be facing.
