I think an important factor that Chris had that prevented him from sperging out in court was having an actual lawyer. Rob Bell was an experienced attorney being paid for it by Barb and Chris, and not a mere public defender handed to them by the government. Bell was skilled at shutting Chris up, and convincing him to take a plea deal. Not only that, it seems Len has chosen not to have a public defender, and instead try to defend himself in court. We all know that wouldn't end well.

Len claims to have an actual lawyer, but then again this lawyer supposedly believes our posting here in this thread is going to help Len win the court case somehow, so I doubt that. Plus, Len doesn't have a whole lot of money to be throwing away at a lawyer right about now.
