He was trespassing on the property of one of the many railroads he's banned from. In addition to that, he somehow obtained three charges of reckless endangerment, and apparently isn't sure how he got them himself. We're not really sure what those charges come from. The idea that it's from derailing a train I believe is traced back to an instance in which he went to place some stuff on a railroad track to mess with any train that would've come by. I believe he was intending to record it, but a crew happened to be sent out that day for maintenance, and saw him waddling away suspiciously, and found and removed the stuff on the tracks. Though I'm only a part time Lenographer, so I'm sure @Zim or @Gook Choy could do it more justice.

@Pocket_Sand! and @Pottstown Pete are the resident railroad authoritarians. My studies as a Lenographer fall under his retail experience and those of us who worked with him outside of the railfan community. But what you've said sounds about right.

If he's found competent (which he definitely is by legal, if not practical, standards), they can't prevent him from defending himself. This could get very interesting.

If he does try to defend himself with his smug attitude I don't see him walking out of the court room. A judge will grant some leeway I'm sure but when his patience run out Lenny will be dealing with contempt of court. Shitting his pants will only get him hosed down in county jail.

I will never stop wondering where Len got the idea that any child would ever want to read this.
Though the particularities vary between age groups, children usually favor simpler or more action-y stories based around concepts they know, can relate to or think are cool. No child would want to read about The Boring Canal Trip Starring The Very Handsome And Professional Captain Name Letter Surname And His Troublesome Crew.
