Honestly? I think ole Len can win his group. Dobs is pretty boring these days, and Vade's kinda sorta faded from the spotlight a bit in recent months (she still has her moments, but not as many as the high point of her thread). That, plus with Gloria Tesch also on a bit of a downswing in terms of lolcow-ness, I can totally see Len emerging into the "Elite 8".

Looking at this link http://www.rypn.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=28792 I noticed a few things. First is that Len is recognized immediately. The first three comments either name him specifically or point out the Shanerisms. The second thing is that this was posted in early 2010, so Shaners been fighting these sock battles for at least 5 years already. I thought the socks were a newer thing. I can't imagine how sick of him these people must be by now. Also the last comment is this, I bet when it was made the guy making it didn't realize just how many eyes it would eventually get:

Here's some vids from Lens Conrail YouTube.. Not sure what's been posted and what hasn't. The first two aren't worth watching, just pointing out that he does seem to have a thing about animals, both alive and dead. Maybe he's the redneck version of a furry.

Here's an example of why railworkers hate guys like Len. At 30 seconds he asks the conductor "What's all these knobs and stuff do in here?" while the guy is working, then he compares the guys job to driving a trolley.

Exactly my point, he hasn't changed how he operates in years. There are threads on the oldest RR chats and forums that show the socks go back 10 years or more. It's one guy who has managed to make an entire community online and in the real world vehemently hate him. THAT takes effort.

So I got curious about the first charge and looked it up. Why look at that, it's a "charge associated with disorderly conduct and loitering and prowling at night time". So I'm going to put my money on "Len got train boner in the wee hours, went to rail yard to try and satiate it, got busted, hit people with his car while trying to flee, and is now going to court for it."

It's basically defiant trespassing. The charge even specifies that he trespassed after being given actual notice he was to stay the fuck away.

Usually simple trespass is a civil issue resolved with a fine or telling you to stay away.

Defiant trespass means you not only trespassed, but you knew you were trespassing, either because of a sign or something obvious, or in this case, you were actually previously kicked the fuck off the property and told to stay off, but you were just so autistic and so much of an exceptional individual that you came back anyway.

Even most defiant trespassing incidents are usually resolved by a cop showing up and just telling the guy to go away. Like the idiots who always cause a scene in some shop and when told to leave, say something moronic like "it's a public place!"

So this particular asshole must have been beyond dumb to actually get not only arrested but have an actual criminal case come out of it.

Congratulations to Shaner, dumbass of the universe.
