The verified tag is a privilege, you have to earn it.

Take mine for example, I had to follow a very simple set of steps to get mine, so I don't need a verified banner.

All you have to do is make a post on your Facebook saying that this account belongs to you, and you can easily earn a blue one for yourself. It's quick and painless.

The reason why you don't see many blue banners running around is because most people here don't really stick to social media all that much, we mainly socialize here or IRL.
