Okay so can I have a recap of who dennis is and everything? there's 411 pages of madness and I am not crazy enough to go through all of them myself and catch up, I can't be the only one; will someone please recap the road so far?
He's one of his archenemies that Shaner has a grudge against, along with Bob Lowe, the other guy that he keeps bringing up. He thinks people in this thread are those two guys. I think they are both associated with the Colebrookdale Railroad.

@Sigyn Dennis is Leonard Shaner's arch enemy. According to Shaner, Dennis is the sole reason he's been kicked out of every railroad ever. Dennis is a much more cool guy then Len ever will be.
Oh, right, I meant to ask---how did the train derailment thing start? Was it mentioned in one of Shaner's videos?

I don't remember exactly what was said. @Pocket_Sand! told it early in the thread. It involved Leonard Shaner getting mad after getting banned from a rail road and then stacking the metal tie plates on the rail to try and derail the train so he could capture it on film. They found them before the train went down and the workers saw Shaner waddling away from the scene.

I think that's what it was. Someone more in the know can correct anything I messed up.

Now now Curt, You know as well as I know. the passenger speed limit is between 15 and 20 mph. with SpongeBob it's between 10 and 15 mph.

Now now Lenny, it doesn't really matter now does it? No one is going to believe you and you're still banned. Also, you've yet to provide any proof that I am who you say I am. Sooo... in your face Shaner.

Edit: if the speed limit is 20, what the fuck are you going to report if that's the speed he was running?

There is no way the Federal Railroad Administration (the only overriding authority) sets a 10 mph speed limit for anything like that. I'd bet the line itself sets that limit, and can ignore it if it so chooses.

Correct, the line had/has an overall self imposed limit of 10 mph, I don't know if it's been changed since the big DOT project that's been going on. Shaner thinks he's going to report it to the FRA, or tell the judge at his hearing that Matt was speeding...

Called it!

I think it was just first hand knowledge and that police report about reckless endangerment.

Edit: Wouldn't it be great if Len actually recorded himself doing that, though?

FOUND IT
Shaner took offense to this, and set about getting some type of foamer vengeance on Strasburg. One afternoon Shaner sets up his camera and tripod along the one sharp curve on the Strasburg line, he then sets a couple of tie plates down on the rail in an attempt to derail the train and get it on film. What he didn't count on was that a track crew was out that day to go and fix a signal along the line. They hit the plates and pushed them off the rail (rail equipped trucks have brushes or flaps ahead of the rail wheels to keep debris from derailing the truck). The crew got out to check what all the track clatter was, saw the tie plates, and Shaner waddling as fast as he could back to his truck. No real proof that he put the plates down, but more than enough for Strassburg and the PRRM to ban him from the properties.
