And I somehow doubt he'd be capable of (a) finding the type of Philly gangbangers that sell illegal handguns or (b) buying one from them without pissing them off so much that they just shoot him and keep the money.

I imagine there were a lot of IRL WTF moments with Chris, but not really enough to make lasting enemies other than with a select few people. Like I was legit surprised when Chris pepper sprayed that guy. But when Len tried to punch a guy and got a lantern in the face, it seems like everyone that knows him was just like "yeah, that's Len for ya". There's also the fact that even Chris knows better than to flip out in a courtroom.
