Because he can't find anything out on anyone, Len thinks that he'll hit something by flailing wildly; spitting out real names on these forums hoping they'll stick or much like he tried and failed to hit the guy that sent him crying back to Gloria.

@Schuylkill Valley, why are you such a failure at life? You wake up alone, you go to bed alone and in-between, no one wants anything to do with you. Still blame Dennis Blank for your obvious stupidity?

You know, at this point I feel bad for Lenny. I mean it's almost entirely his fault, but I find seeing just how pathetic his life is depressing. I mean, at least Chris Chan's been getting out and meeting people at various LGBT places recently. Does Len have even one friend? If he died tomorrow, would his mother be the only one who cared? It's just sad.

And in the grand terms of strategy, I'd say Pearl was far less heinous than the Firebombings, since the Japanese were actually trying for a strategic objective and was hitting military only. As an aside, if you were gonna appeal to patriotism with a proper bout of Japanese cruelty, I'd have used Bataan, Unit 713, or Nanking. Those were true warcrimes considering how they treated prisoners, tested bioweapons on citizens of China, and the amounts of rape involved in the last one.

While there were bombing raids that were meant to target factories and other places of actual strategic important, @Adamska is absolutely right. The main purpose of the B-29 fire bombings were to cause as much destruction as possible, which they succeeded greatly at - because most of the structures in Japan at the time were made of wood. Often times the bombings would result in a devastating firestorm.

You also beat me to bringing up Unit 731 and Nanking, @Adamska . Both of which I could go in to horrifying detail about, but shall refrain for now, because that's neither here nor there. I will, however, mention that the US never prosecuted the Japanese for the heinous things they did in China, instead striking a deal with them to basically sweep it under the rug in exchange for all of the medical information the Japanese gathered from the experiments. You can thank the Japanese for a good chunk of basic modern medical knowledge.

And now that I'm home from work, I can go back to looking in to this uncle you keep bringing up, Len. You wanna save me some trouble and just gimme his name?
