Yeah, the privet investigator that Len calls an asshole and publicly claims to own at one point. Len later on deludes himself into thinking that we don't remember @The_Knight_Rider being him. Because stupid.

It reminds me of a really, really failed attempt at gaslighting.

Narcissists (not that I'm accusing him of being this, though he does exhibit unwarranted importance and inability to see other people as thinking differently/having lives beyond him) have a tendency to "gaslight" their victims, to continually assert things are true that are not, to constantly do little subtle things that make them doubt their own memory and constantly question themselves. Often narcissists are incredibly convincing about this, and many times they actually do convince themselves that their version of events is the truth. They literally rewrite reality to suit their purposes.

He thinks that if he repeats lies over and over, we will eventually have to believe them, because he is clearly so convinced and he will eventually wear us down. This is naturally not the case. He doesn't want to be embarrassed at his failure of having a "privet detective" helping him, so I would not be surprised at all if there's a huge level of denial and self-delusion at play here, because he NEEDS it to be true, the alternative is too terrible.

And before people say that him posting as a private detective can't have a dose of denial involved, there are countless reported cases of narcissists saying something and then seconds later immediately denying they ever said it, and eventually coming to honestly believe they did not. They thrive on other people not having the "proof" to deny their stories - except in Len's case, we clearly do. Not that he understands it.

Haaaaa. In all seriousness, the level of unwarranted self importance he's displayed makes me think that he wouldn't think twice about believing it's Gloria's duty to take care of him, she owes him it, he's entitled to stay with her, etc etc. So that could turn into him getting nasty believing there are no consequences for his actions - after all, has there ever been any? He's always been bailed out, why would he believe they exist now?
