Alright, First of all let me say this.
I AM NOT LEN SHANER.

If needed I will prove it.

Anyways, Let me start off by thanking everyone here for entertaining me for several weeks. This thread has been passes around the railfan community and it's been very fun watching you all tear Shaner apart. We have tried to get through his head for years and now it looks like his mental problems have finally met an equal match.

I will spare all of you from details of myself that aren't important, However I am a railfan who has heard many stories about Len over the years (Some of which have not been posted yet)

I will share the ones that are... Well believable.



Anyways, We will start with my personal favorite Which took place on the Reading and Northern railroad in late fall 2013.
A long time friend of mine had set up his cameras for a shot of the R&N 425.. (Big Steam choo choo for the non-Railfan Kiwis)

He got his video/photos and left, Then uploaded it some days later... Only to find that Len had taken his image, Altered the colors slightly then posted it as his own. Now, That had happened before with Shaner. The Difference this time was that he went to the group that owns the Engine and allowed them to use the stolen image under his name. (No, I don't think he got paid for it)

My friend (We'll just call him Nelson) emailed the group and explained the situation. They realized they had been taken for a ride and changed the names on the photo credits. All was well for a day or two, Then Len found out and exploded all over facebook. He blamed the railroad, He blamed the original photographer and his friends for "Conspiring against an Honest railfan". He even sent a message to the editor of a Railroad magazine asking for help. Nobody noticed and went on with their business.

Then from what I understand, Len got a call from somebody inside the group that owned 425. He told Len that is he ever pulled anything like this again he would be barred from the railroad's property for life. This silenced Len on the matter and this matter didn't surface again until the "Bridge" scene with Len September 2014.

Anyways, Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed the story.

I was a passenger on that September 2014 bridge scene excursion and I remember Len was kicked off several properties for trying to join the photo line. The only reported instance of him trespassing during the excursion (probably trying to get to the photo line) was on the bridge but I did catch a glimpse of him in several places he shouldn't have been at.

Ha, it's funny to think these kind of things never go away, ever. You heard that Len, even when you die, people will still be able to see your crappy life because once it's on the internet, it'll never go away and you're just giving more and more material with each passing day.
Oh well, I guess the hearing will be the most interesting thing to happen now. Unless Shaner decides to go super nuts and do something even more stupid like accusing the police and the judge of being part of the lenspiracy.

1. The Parker Lee account was instated for Operation Enduring Diapers with the sole the purpose of getting Shaner to admit he likes to shit himself, at any cost necessary.

2. Along the way Lenny boy basically confirmed that one of his old admin sockpuppets Erica. R. Stone was a fake name he made based on a character from a movie.

3. Shaner claimed that he was getting the fake photoshopped instant messages from the James Hoffman Jr. Facebook Account which makes sense since Shaner is incapable of creating something that elaborate.

4. Shaner claimed that other railfans would steal his photography from his facebook fanpage and submit them to the railroad as their own. Shaner was unable to provide evidence proving how people would be so careless as to steal something so openly and blatantly available and instead was only to able to respond with the words "your guess is mind."

Speaking of Len and bridges: when this thread was still in it's infancy, I decided to sniff around Len's often-used "Conrail6370" username. I came across a few posts in the comment section for various pages on "bridgehunter.com". There wasn't anything interesting enough to share with the thread, but it seems he may have an obsession with bridges, minuscule in comparison to his obsession with trains. Probably because some of these bridges have something to do with trains.

It's moments like these that make me miss the Lenspiracy Board the most.

Being an amateur photographer I occasionally run into clueless people who keep saying "What exactly makes photography art? Photographers just point a camera some way and push a button."
...for some reason, I kept thinking of Lenny's photos. There's just something about them that sets them apart from photographs other people might take. Even if you knew little about Len, you could pick up a bunch of these photos, take a long look at them and I bet you'll start feeling that something is clearly wrong here.

And after hearing about Len's antics, you may start thinking "hmm, the guy thinks he's such a good photographer, but I don't see it."

The thing about many forms of art is that arrogance and pretentiousness definitely gets carried through. So yeah, photography is a form of art. If it can make you facepalm, it's art.

This has been discussed previously, but I know that many people probably feel forced to skip a bit in order to ever catch up in the thread, so I'll expand on my previous critique of what Len sometimes calls -- in his uniquely challenged manner -- his "photography photos."

(1) The quality of his images does not change. He has never bothered to study either the art or the science or the techniques of photography. He produces crap and pronounces it professional work. He doesn't seem to understand that professional photographers are people who make a living with their cameras. Those who get paid for some of their work, but don't make a living from it, are semi-professional photographers. Len is neither; but he lies about it.

(2) His autism shines through in each of his shots. The subject of the photo is always centered, horizontally and vertically, in the images he produces. He has never heard of the Rule of Thirds or Fibonacci's Ratio (sometimes called the Golden Mean or Divine Proportion) or any other fundamental composition guidelines. As a result, his photos have a boring look that is often hard to analyse for those who are less than advanced amateurs with a camera.

(3) His post-production editing is essentially nonexistent. He has stated that he edits with "whatever came with Windows." He has also stated that he's running Windows 7. As far as I know, zero photo editing applications come with Windows 7, although there is an extremely rudimentary editor that you can download free from Microsoft. It's quite possible that his photos are not edited at all. What comes out of the camera is most likely what he serves up on the Internet.

(4) I strongly suspect that this "professional photographer" keeps his camera set at all times in either fully automatic mode or some "scene" mode like landscape, night, snow or whatever. In shots with wide exposure values, Len never sets his exposure to capture the highlights or the shadow detail. Instead, what we see are blown-out highlights and no shadow details. He never seems to use aperture priority in order to limit his depth of field to the main subject of an image; he let's the camera decide those pesky details for him. He never makes any attempt to edit out purple fringing in areas where his blown-out highlights come in contact with darker objects. This involves no more than a simple button-click in many elementary editing programs, including some that are free. Color correction, another single click on a single button in some software, is as alien to Len as differential calculus. All of these points are the hallmark of a rank amateur.

(5) I would point to some examples, but Len doesn't seem to like having his work critiqued. He has closed up the very professional MySapce video site for Journey Up My Ass Productions. And his very professional photo site on Facebook is also locked down. Closing down those sites, even temporarily, is the greatest contribution Len has ever made to photography and videography. He might get an award.
