.Flow Is a Yume Nikki fan game. Right from the title music you can tell it going for a darker feeling. While I did watch some of a Let's play many many years ago right after the Yume Nikki one. I can't remember a damn thing about this game. So in other words, This will be completely blind LP so make sure you spoiler tag things not yet seen. We will be playing on the latest version 0.194 .

Oh also No idea why, but unlike Yume Nikki I have to click outside the game window to take a gif/screenshot with the programs I use so It's a tad bit more janky for me.

Episode 1: Deja Vu, I've been in this place before.

The image on the right looks like something you see in a Newgrounds flash game in the mid 2000s.

Listen to that music, Where yume nikki had a more calming feel to it, this has depressing slow vibe. I still think Snow world from YN has a better lonely vibe sound then the title here.

We play as Sabitsuki Get used to a lot of Yume nikki fan games names sounding a lot alike. Even the room looks depressing compared to YN.

In .flow we have some new menus on the menu screen. Let's look at all menus.

As per normal we start with instructions as a effect. Let's see if the controls are any diffrent.

No dedicated wake up button here. And the effects button is moved.

The console looks like a orange Super nintendo, and the name might be a nod to Japanses name of the nintendo systems. Famicom(family computer).

Goal is simple paw at fishs and sea horses. There is no winning, and there a delay to the attack so you can't spamming it.

And that music is just balling.

On the title by putting in a Modified version of the Konnami code. < < > > ^ v ^ v. You will unlock.

Episode 2: Wonderful a underwater location.


On the day I took the screencaps/gifs I had a prety weird dream. I can't Remember too much from it, but what I do remember is this.

I was in some kind of room maze situation, and there was a countdown timer that was purple with a red eye. There was blured face people I had to hit and kill them with a Iron pipe and they would drop white orbs that would add time to the clock. There was also silhouettes of animnals with red eyes around the rooms. Trying to get a good look at them, and they would just vanish. It was always a feeling of dread everywhere.

I can't remember many of the rooms, the one I do remember was a fancy looking room with two staircases, on opposite walls leading towards each other as they went up.

If I have any more weird dream on the days I get screenshots I'll share them.

I think this is a good time to show that these flowers act like they blow in the wind.

Sadly the screen cap program I use seems to make the picture darker then it is in game.

It ruins pictures like these where they something dark, but still see able in game, but not in screenshot.
What should be here is blueish puddles like tiles that when you walk on kind of sound like you are suddenly LSD the dream emluator.

Oh wow a real underwater level. This is something I wanted to see in YU, nice to see this game has one.

I want to be frank with you all, I have a fear of deep water I can't see the bottom of. It stems from when I was playing Rachet and clank 2 as a child, and got traumatized by the goldfish shark creates that sollow you whole.

This is what I would expect a moody underwater soundtrack to sound like.

At first I thought I couldn't go anywhere. That light is a hint that I am faceing a wall and need to go right.

There a few of hard to see dark NPCS here. They don't seem to do anything when I interact with them.

There something about this track that unnerves me. Can't quite put my finger on it, but I really don't like exploreing this place.

But the pools of blood have a slight animation to them. I hate to admit this, but at first I thought they was just redwalls, it took me a few minutes before I noticed it was pools of blood.

Going to try to not get too wild posting Music not from .flow. But CnC song is too good not to embed the video.

It gives us what looks like scrapped together junkyard robotic limbs. Also puts some weird metal on our head.
It has no action when you press the button so it's purely cosmetic.

I think this is a good end point for this update. Anything imporant I miss, or want to give me a hint towards it? Feel free to.

Episode 3 : Tieing up some loose ends underwater.

Let's start this off with something odd. Entering the flow world now has two stars on the screen.

While looking for the underwater pass door, I saw these weird tooth like NPCs. They do nothing when interacting with them.

I think this has to be my new favorite track. That guitar is very soothing.
Oh This track I couldn't find on youtube. It's called "down" in the Music folder for the game.

Hey Remember how I went for the Flesh jail place rather then this door. It's time to find out whats up with this path.

As with before, we will go back and keep exploreing the maze first. We have to interact with that orange thing to be sent back to the stairs.
It takes me a while of dodgeing the chasers to find anything of note.

A pool, and a little girl sleeping in the plants. She must be the cause of this overgrowth. Nothing we can do here, I try both of our effects,and even try the interact key and nothing. Back outside the building we go.

I think it's safe to say we explored a lot of the bottom path. For next update should we Go Left, up, or right in the nexus? I would love to see which path you want me to pick.
 
Episode 4: Red eye(s), Groovey world, and and sewers.

I'm still trying to figure out what those sqaures are. At first I thought maybe it was a abstract house or something,but the way the red tentacle is drawn. It makes me think it's some kind of vat, or box.

Episode 5 Exploreing the Rave Maze.

The update today will be short and sweet. We didn't explore much of this maze; so let's fix that.
This is the door I didn't enter in the first room.

This room reminds me of the monty hall problem. Of couse we get no prizes opening doors.
Even if the door we choose goes nowhere, we can back track and find out where that last door takes us.

We can stand here and hold right to look, but nothing happens. I wonder if this game has a flying effect. If it does we should come back here and try it.

Maybe It's metaphor for Childhood memories. You can barely make sense, or recall much of them, and it's feels like trying to piece together a colorful mess.

They not chaseing us or anything, but they also don't look friendly. I am going to avoid them for now.

Reminds me of slime monsters you might see in Japanses RPGs in a undead theme level, or horror games.

Reminds me of artifacts from SS13, any of you ever play that game? Always be careful around robotic orgin artifacts. One too many times have I gotten borged that way.

Might as well explore the only building we can enter. Judgeing by the signs it's a brothel. That or this is a weird place to have a tunnel of love.

Going left we find a hallway with a hotel rooms we can enter.

Oh I think we interrupted them. Yeah Okay I think I am getting a idea what the black monsters are now. They the type of people that vist these places often.

We can't get past this guy. I have a want of a weapon. So I don't have to let all these NPC's block my way.

If we went right from the main room we find the bathrooms.

We can enter the womens room. Those stalls are really high. You could fit a giraffe in there.

The other door doesn't open and we just knock on it.

Sadly none of the effects will change the reflection. It would be cool if they did. I can understand why the creator didn't.

We just get a sound if we try to enter the mens rest room. And thats it's for the hotel let's see if I missed anything outside.

A whilted flower, interacting with it as you might expect does nothing. Maybe we need a unfound effect or something, or maybe it's one of those RNG type of situations.

We are going to end, the update here with a gif of the colors of this room. I like the way it looks.
