Midway through the battle, Pocket Dragoon manages the incredibly stupid feat of catching a live grenade in the nose of the RaceWarSub, right in front of his face. I have Dear Leader selected instead but Dragoon's Time Units are literally 0 after that throw. Nobody else has anywhere near enough Time Units to run out and pick the damn thing up either. At this point, I figure he deserves to get blown up for fucking himself like that.

The grenade goes off and he's... fine? Not a scratch of damage from a point-blank grenade explosion.

I hope he does Apocalypse instead. The game might be easy, but it sure is fun to play and abuse its system. Probably some sort of RP run where we don't use biotoxins or something, just so that the ayys could get a fair fight.

I think a playthrough of Total War: Medieval would be awesome. He could name his generals the same as now, and I think individual unit commanders too. Early game there wouldn't be as many and the turnover would be less, but it'd be cool to watch my guy in a heavy cavalry charge into a mass of peasants or archers.

XPiratez is planned next. Apocalypse still runs like ass in DOSBox. I actually do have an old Windows XP machine that would probably run it better but getting screenshots between that and my main computer would be a pain.

I only ever finished the original DOS XCOM once, and Terror From the Deep never despite several tries. OpenApoc is nowhere near completed though, assuming it ever will be. I'll experiment with it at some point because I'd like to get at least one playthrough of it under my belt, but no promises.

The people in the thread would take the role of being the parliament/congress and I would hold votes on things like what country to attack first and where to colonize.

Victoria Revolutions ends in 1936 long before there's an Israel or an atomic bomb to nuke it with, but it does feature a save game converter that transfers over to Hearts of Iron 2: Armageddon. Though 90% of the time the MIddle East still ends up being owned by the Ottoman Empire and the other 10% of the time its owned by Russia.
