Now to fix something that it seems like happens at least once a thread.

@not william stenchever

Willy actually volunteered about three characters back but I missed adding him to my name bank for some reason. I probably wouldn't have noticed but he asked me about it on movienight so I checked over the list again and sure enough I'd missed him. Son of a bitch.

Well, I know someone you'll be seeing at movienight tonight.
Like I wasn't going to be there anyways...

Mutant Porn required for recruitment? That's different; guess things have been tweaked a bit since I last played, but I wouldn't be surprised if some things haven't changed like the routine demonic base invasion that'll happen forever. Your lack of Lokk'Naar offends me, but fair enough if you're rushing everything with heavy shotguns and armor instead of having short range brawlers and long range snipers.

This will teach me to update this thread at 4:00 AM.

So apparently while I was rechecking this thread after he asked me that, probably at like 4:00 AM since that's sometimes when I get off movienight, it turned out that by some fucking coincidence I had actually forgotten to put him on the list. So for some reason I bumped his name up to the top instead of putting it in the proper place, probably because I was in a hurry and had just searched for his name in the thread instead of looking for it manually.

I've performed a full audit of the names, which are in the order as follows, assuming I didn't fuck it up:

L50LasPak
NerdShamer
Sanshain (Forever Sunrise)
Niggermancer
ChucklesTheJester
Moths
Dr. Ricearoni
Figger Naggot
Citizen Calamity (Dead)
Pocket Dragoon
A Callow Youth

Fictional Character

So, to rectify that,

@Bezmenov is next, so I'm going to rename Willy's character to him. She's only been on two missions so far, and done nothing too noteworthy.

In the future I'm going to post the name bank with each soldier update so you guys can check the order and tell me if I fucked it up.

10. Hidden Power, Part 1

(Parasite Eve 2 - Forbidden Power)

The Brainers are up to something.

screen001.png
screen005.png
screen006.png
screen004.png

I haven't heard shit from them in a week. There's some junk piled up in front of the door, and I remember one of them showed me some unimpressive tricks with a tamed parrot earlier, but that's it.

screen002.png

Ah. That clears up... nothing at all actually.

screen003.png

You mean we have yet another unknown power source in this shithole and we aren't trying to learn everything we can about it? You know my answer!

In reality, I don't start researching this right away because I wanted to maybe put it up to a vote. After looking it up though, the Reject The Power path appears to be incomplete, in addition to being newer and just all around less fleshed out.

screen010.png
screen011.png

This new mission comes up.

screen012.png

I've been holding out on purchasing a Blowfish flying submarine which means, unfortunately, I'm just going to have to skip this one for now and eat the penalty. I get construction started on a third hangar right away.

The Gals take out their frustrations on this Academy Outpost instead. Both Disc and newbie Super Sad Smile get kills in.

Everyone feels a little better after getting plastered.

The focus right now is trying to research all of the major components we keep collecting, such as the Slave AI, Engineered Biomatter, Durathread, etc, and anything at all related to outfits and armor because I would like to get my Gals some chem protection sooner rather than later. I'm also chipping away at lasers as I have extra Brainers free.

With how often we clean these places out you'd think the Academy would consider shutting some of them down. Then again, there may simply be so many in operation that our feeble efforts barely make a dent in them.

The Gals get depressed when I mention this fact in front of them. At least the Experiment Victims they recover get a nice warm rest and a stiff drink after all the Hell they've been through.

One of our wayward sisters somehow got herself mixed up with the Reticulans. Its normally regular humans they kidnap for their experiments, she might have been too wily for them.

screen221.png
screen224.png

In current events, there's a bad storm that we take the chance to profit off of, and the Sickbay is finally complete. One Brainer draws the short straw to man it 24/7. "Damnit Jim, I'm a pirate, not a doctor!" she protests as the Runts move her shit out of the lab.

screen184.png
screen231.png

Two important researches we complete in the meantime are the Hellerium, which is of course the Elerium 115 from the previous game, this time named after a prominent figure in the UFO community who's name I'm blanking on right now. It's definitely not named after the guy who invented the Element 115 idea since that's Bob Lazar. Additionally, we research Plastasteel, which I think derives its name from Quake or possibly the 1984 SF novel Armor. (The name Plasteel is older by far, having shown up in Dune, but Plastasteel is a more contemporary term for the same idea) I think Plastasteel replaces the Alien Alloys in this mod, but there might be another tier of materials research to get to that instead and this is just the crummy Earth version.

screen226.png
screen222.png
screen280.png
screen227.png

Some other miscellaneous technologies we complete in the mean time include me unlocking the tedious Monster Hunt missions to give us more to do, and we've finally manufactured and researched a Goblin Zaxx Prize technology, which means we can manufacture and research the Bounty Hunter Brass Badge and research it to unlock the next tier of Bounty Hunting missions. Unfortunately the 200 Glamour cost to manufacture is a bit beyond us at the moment.

Dirty Harry Halt.png

The Christine finally gets its maiden voyage on an infiltration mission to a Temple of Sirius. Most of the team is equipped with Deagles, but I hand Honky an Ol' Magnum because I think I recognize that gun.

screen252.png
screen258.png
screen263.png

Fuckin aye that thing cleans house.

screen268.png

The Deagle by comparison is a bit less spectacular and has poorer accuracy, but I did want to point out this stray shot that knocked all of the plaster off an outer wall.

In other news, Disc is finally tough enough to hold a loaded Heavy Shotgun without it over-encumbering her! She gets her first kill with it at an Academy Watchtower.

screen329.png
screen330.png
screen339.png

Its time for another regular Bootypedia cleanout. Here's the animal/monster related entries.

screen331.png
screen332.png
screen333.png

Here's the armor/outfits I've neglected.

screen334.png
screen335.png
screen337.png
screen336.png

Some random weapons and equipment. The Tear Gas looks useful until you notice that its a melee weapon and not a thrown grenade. The Durathread Bra is probably worth the encumbrance for its minor bonuses, so I order enough of them to outfit the Partyvan and Christine with a full complement of them. Durathread is still a limited resource to us at the moment, but I plan on fixing that shortly.

screen340.png

See? Those titties need some support.

screen338.png
screen341.png

Some more noteworthy technologies here. Test Flight looks like its going to be one of those annoying repeated researches.

The Partyvan team massacres another church. The crime is looked upon as so savage we actually get a small amount of negative score for it but, eh, fuck it.

screen406.png

Short one this time around since I have a movienight to catch, happy Thanksgiving!

Back at it again at the tiddy factory.

Doctor Akagi appears to have transferred most of her internal organs to her shoulders, that's just how it is in the late 80s and early 90s. A 'tiny drill' though? Are they slapping in a Gurren Lagaan reference? Alright then.

Samus' Varia Suit shape makes a lot more sense after seeing that Ritsuko artwork, also did I have one too many drinks or are you a mod now? where you always a mod? Are mods here gay? or are the jannies trannys? or both?
Laspak has chosen to sacrifice himself to the fire to keep the age of thunderdome shitposting alive a while longer. There was a thread about a new janny being needed for it.

He was stupid enough to volunteer when Null opened janny slots for the autism zone, which means that we've got about 6 months to finish the LP before he vanishes forever.

Also, good call on the drill, Pak: the rejection option was just added last patch to provide a way to make the game technically able to be completed if you're an idiot that sells the drill. It'll probably make for some interesting challenge runs a few years down the line.
