Let's Players originating from Something Awful - ft. VoidBurger, General Ironicus, Bob Kamoc

Slowbeef himself is incapable of not bringing politics into everything. I've always gotten the impression that Diabetus wants avoid controversial subjects like politics.
...
On the last Retsutalk they did Slowbeef autistically mentioned that he saw the Angry Birds movie, then ironically claimed that the fringe leftist conspiracy theory that the film is racist, anti-immigration propaganda is legitimate, to which Diabetus awkwardly cracked a joke.

I remember somewhere in the Shadow of the Comet RP, slowbeef tries to start a conversation about how HP Lovecraft's racism makes his books difficult to read, which Diabetus ignores and switches the topic with a joke.

Also, I notice that Slowbeef doesn't want to state his political beliefs even though he does so fucking constantly:

I'm guessing the reason is that he's worried that he'll out himself as a filthy liberal to his leftist friends.
I wonder how much he has to self flagellate among his e-friends for getting his MBA and wanting to be a small business owner. The woke and broke types don't typically tolerate that kind of behavior.
Can't we just go with "HP Lovecraft's writing style makes HP Lovecraft's books difficult to read" which was the acceptable non-woke answer for decades.
Lovecraft was hard to read, even in period. Bertrand Russell did most of his writing in the same time period as Lovecraft, was writing non-fiction on the hardest field a layman could read, and still managed to be far more palatable than Lovecraft. I'm a fan of his work, but his style of description gets old, quickly.

Something small I just found: Ironicus made what I believe is a reference to Allison Rapp in the most recent episode of his and Chip's LP of Mario Odyssey. If the timestamp doesn't work in the video, just skip to 29:00 to hear the comment and some context right before it.
Pretty ironic that he's whining about people being fired for "social media pressure" when these faggots love pulling that shit on people, as has been discussed previously in this thread.

Also, I fucked up in a previous post and said that Slowbeef "ironically" thinks that the Angry Birds film is propaganda. He actually UNironically thinks that.

You could say that his writing style is quite cyclopean.

I came across a particularly stupid quote from DeceasedCrab today. In one of his La-Mulana 2 videos he complains that "derp" is offensive and that he complained to the translators to get it removed from the game. The video with the timestamp is embedded below, if the timestamp in the link doesn't work, click to 5:55 to see what I'm talking about:

DC is also the only LPer I know who is autistic enough to deliberately play a version of a game with a known softlock, deliberately softlock himself, and then stop LPing the game as a form of protest towards the developers.

Confession: phrases like "people of color" and such don't really bother me for the most part, don't shriek at me if I forget to use them but if you use them I don't think it invalidates what you're saying or anything. But holy shit is "differently abled" a whole load of patronizing, condescending shit that 90% of actual disabled people don't give a shit about and calling it r.etarded is an insult to r.etards

DeceasedCrab was always an ultra-cunt despite his attempts to not look like one; his natural bitchiness was why I stopped watching him when I had better options like nine or eight years ago.

I agree completely. The only reason I even stumbled across what I did is because he's somehow the most tolerable person out there with a LP of La-Mulana 2.

I always knew he was an obnoxious, broken shell of a human being, but I never thought it was that bad. Maybe those evil insulting things hit a little too close to home. The La-Mulana 2 guys are even worse for rolling over for this nobody when he's the only one, outside of his audience, who thinks that way about it. Why would you even take this guy seriously when he treats the disabled like helpless children?

Some dipshit in the comments even said "I kind of cringed at the whole; 'slightly cross-eyed, general face associated with the term Derp' Megarock was sporting as well... the minute I saw it, I kind of knew what was coming. I know the box-art was bad, but they added things to it. There are people who are a little cross-eyed. No, this does not make them inferior in intellect."

What fucking cross-eyes? He's looking to the right (or is it the left?). The exact same fucking way he does on the box art. You're seeing what you want to see. The only one adding something to it is this group of shitty idiots who can't bear to see anything that makes someone appear stupid. It's like an advanced case of the thing that got the word "duh" made into an insensitive word. At least "duh" actually had a good chunk of existence before people decided it was time to destroy the English language a bit.

The best part is DC showing his true colors and saying "If for some reason you are a person with a disability who doesn't personally find the term offensive and somehow believes that means no one else should be offended by it, you are a bad person and you should not post anything, anywhere, ever again."

The best part is not only did he end this comment the exact same way as a comment previous to it about the exact same subject, he's showing he'll just piss all over you even if you ARE "differently abled" if you don't conform to his beliefs. Kind of hypocritical, when you think about it.

Oh well. The guy and his fans should probably post more on SA. It's the kind of place that suits them.

(I'd add screenshots but I'm too lazy right now. He's got his head too far up his ass to think he's wrong, so the comments aren't going anywhere.)

Just quick scan of the comments has him using the word "problematic" multiple times. I didn't know he was in that deep, but it's not surprising.

Are you sure it makes them a bad person? Are you sure they're not just "differently gooded"?

You forgot about these ones, too:

He doesn't seem to be aware of the blatant hypocrisy of, "we need to be respectful of people with disabilities...unless they so much as gently disagree with me, then they're bad people and deserve to be blocked." I know virtue signaling is often disingenuous, but it's rare that you can find evidence against its genuinity by barely scratching the surface. It's like somebody trying to sell you a solid gold statue when their neon yellow paint barely covers the cheap wood it's made out of.

Maybe that's why a Youtuber who's been around for a decade that uploads videos weekly still somehow has a piddly 34K subscribers and barely breaks 5K views a video, whereas fresh channels that have existed for a fraction of the time skyrocket to 200K. If you already have a dwindling fanbase, it's not smart to insult and block what's left. Nobody's obligated to watch your content, so threatening to force them to leave isn't a power play for your own benefit.

The translators haven't budged for him or anybody else, as far as I'm aware. That "herp derp" stuff with Megarock was always intended to be in the game and is still there. Since the devs are a small studio, they probably hired a small translation studio that won't needlessly remove stuff for PC reasons. The only other line like that he complained about was a hot spring advertising that it will give you menopausal syndrome, which he had to go really out of his way to find. All that said, I think he'll get his wish anyway when the console versions of the game come out and they have to be vetted by Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft's official translation teams.

Also, as a correction to my earlier comment about him being so autistic that he softlocked himself, that was me being hasty. Having now seen the video where he softlocks himself, he does it accidentally and then later explains in a comment that he won't be making more videos for the game until the softlock is fixed in a patch (instead of the dev's current official solution for a month and a half which is to revert to an earlier version of the game, get around the softlock, and then go up to the latest version). I can kind of understand why he's doing this, since his coverage of the game was pretty positive and he doesn't want to keep being positive towards devs who treat their customers like beta testers.
