SuperGreatFriend does better Silent Hill stuff than Voidburger ever could

His content has been consistently good ever since his Deadly Premonition LP (Ages ago, but that was a genuinely fun thread, lots of speculation over the plot). He did a fantastic Omikron LP also (That I think Matt from Superbestfriends stole some jokes from)

He's still happily chugging along uploading stuff, does a Silent Hill every October (Two this year, Shattered Memories and Remake). His streams likely do okay as he gets a good few thousand views on most of his YT videos.

It's also funny how much happier and successful with making content he is than Slowbeef. I think SGF genuinely enjoys doing it and it's a hobby for him instead of something he wants to make into a career.

Some of Slowbeef's older streams were okay, Madi and Beef's Fight Palace could be pretty funny at times. I think when he went all in on facecam, around the time he got on ADHD meds, his content became really fucking boring. That's when I stopped even watching his videos of games I was interested in seeing played.

Old Wrongpuraes and RetsuFlash are still great. Harvester is one for the ages. Plus his LPs with Betus like Dead to Rights or Snatcher are decent. The wifestreams could be funny, Mrs. Beef was kinda based.

Sad to see, dunno why he hasn't packed it in to spend more time with his family.

Back when he was a guest on the Retsutalk podcast he mentioned working for the state of New Jersey, though that was many years ago but people tend to stick with government jobs so I'd wager he still does.

Uh, don't get too excited, the uh, video is probably not what you were hoping for but I want to let you know about something because Betus and I sometimes noticed that that when we make content nowadays that that uh, people kinda come in and to our respective streams or whatever and say like, "Oh, slowbeef or Diabetus! I didn't know you were still making stuff!" and it's like yeah we are, um, and this is basically a public service announcement, uh you can see in the description that I've put together some of the stuff we've been doing lately, um, you know hey, I made a video game and you know Diabetus, uh watched a movie and I had a couple of kids and I think Diabetus maybe saw a second movie or something like that. I don't know, I'm sure he's accomplished a lot.

Anyway, um, we actually - and we've done content together - I put a playlist in the description together. I'm really not saying this to upsell it, you can watch it with adblocker, I don't care. I really do think it stands with some of the best stuff we've done on this channel. It's good. I want to do more stuff with him. Recently, we talk a lot, it's, um, there's no drama or anything honestly, like our schedule is just misaligned a bit due to timezones and things like that, um, you know, he likes to do content earlier than I do and then I put the kids to bed so it's kind of like if you want to collaborate on stuff it's tough for us but you know we make time every now and again. It has been a little bit, but again we're planning to soon at some point, uh, this is probably the last video on this channel. Um, you know, we talked about it, he endorses this message by the way, I'll put the proof right here. (audio clip of Diabetus saying "Hi, Diabetus here and I approve this message from slowbeef!")

The Omikron bumble was post-SBF, there are a few comments about it on the first video in that series.

I've been a pretty consistent follower of his for a long time and he's still generally good, but for quite a few years now he's been doing bumbles (usually stream recordings with the chat omitted) over actual structured and edited let's plays. That's not inherently a bad thing and it keeps the Content dripfeed more steady, but the bumbles also have a lot more waffling and dead air than the structured and crafted LPs like Killer7. A lot of his older stuff is stream recordings too, such as Mode and Shenmue, but those also have a chat overlay so there's something to look at during the slower parts of those videos. The newer ones don't, and it really sucks for things like the October suffer-marathons he does where he inevitably just starts running out of steam. It's unfortunate because half of his chat makes some pretty good jokes that would carry the videos a bit more, but the other half is also insanely fucking gay, furry, political cringe, horny but only ironically haha, unless..., and parasocial in a way that's really uncomfortable and creepy, so it's hard to say if it's a good thing or not that chat doesn't get recorded and included. There was a bit of that in the older stream recordings too, but nowhere near as bad as it's been since, like, 2016 (of course). The loudest, most annoying, and most heckin e-punk and trans ones also have swords next to their names, so it's clearly not something that bothers him, and it's hard to say whether or not the lack of chat overlay in new videos is out of laziness or to accomodate people like me who it's a big turnoff for. Some of that leaks over into the youtube comments too, but it's not received nearly as well there.

But yeah, regardless, he still utterly mogs his contemporaries. The first Saw game, of all things, is still something he references all the time despite how nothing that game is. If he ever says something about "dat key" or exploding upon death, that's because of Saw. It's a hard recommendation, but if you were to watch any part of that series, part 6 is the one to watch.

He says that people should check out the playlist of videos of content he and Diabetus have made together since ending Retsupurae as well as check out their streams. He also says that recently he and Diabetus have talked about collaborating on more content but the issue they're having is aligning their schedules. He says that this is probably the last video on the Retsupurae channel, which I hope is not true, there's no reason not to make more wrongpuraes.

He was like that for a long time, he just pretended fairly well not to be buthurt when other streamers got popular quick. I think his ego took another hit after his game wasn't the success he was hoping for, steamdb says that the peak was 12 players on launch day (the 14th of october was the game's 2nd anniversary). Last month he announced console ports with the switch coming up later, and I'm yet to see anyone mentioning them

Beef needs a co-host that helps with the pace on video and in stream, he alone is not really that interesting and just looks confused or out of touch. I followed him for a while on twitch and you didn't missed out anything, his best streams always are with someone else providing commentary like in fight palace or the resident evil co-op playthroughs

Besides, he got buck broken hard with troll's remorse and now fully supports teachers trooning out kids without notifying the parents in his home state

I think it was his 999 stream where I just had to put another window over the chat overlay because those fags were insufferable. Arguing about gay shit that only goons would argue about during a weeb game about puzzles.
