Yeah I never had anything really against the guy, but he was always a giant weirdo. He also got super mad about Mario Party to the point he refused to talk for the rest of the LP except for saying he wanted to leave at the end of the game.

In Darkseed 2, there's a rigged carnival game you will always lose. When you miss, the guy running the booth says "you missed, pal." It become a meme for a brief period of time thanks to a video edited so the protagonist just misses for 5 minutes.

It's the inevitable consequence of the culture that they helped foster back in SA. Things that were just jokes back in 2007 are now dangerous wrongthink and having displayed it at any point has actual consequences now, especially because they have tied their whole personality to how they are good little virtuous and tolerant liberals. Of course, they happily will sell each other out if it means a bit more of that perception of how they are the good guy and that other one was actually a secret nazi all along.

The Men Drinking Coffee has kept their channel up at least. They just knew when to walk away. I have no clue what or if they ever did or posted anything since then.

Chris streams on Twitch as a hobby playing an eclectic variety of old and new games. To my knowledge it's purely a solo thing. Judge and Anthony are nowhere to be found AFAIK. No idea about Tom.

I will say I did notice Judge change the name of the MDC channel a couple of times after they quit. He also said before closing the MDC website that he still read YouTube comments so in a way he's still around.

Looking at his stats he was averaging 100+ viewers for the longest time (and far more easily when RP was still active) but is now down to like 30 despite streaming roughly the same amount. Wasn't he trying to be a full-time streamer at one point he could be a stay-at-home dad? I think Proteus mentioned that once.

He's mentioned considering making let's play a career at least once that's been documented - on a stream from 2017:
He specified that it would have to actually seem viable financially before he'd attempt it though. But yeah, Slowbeef desperately wants to be a famous eceleb.
In my opinion the Retsupurae content he made with Diabetus was excellent and some of the most genuinely funny content on Youtube. Maybe they couldn't have made a career out of it but they could have stayed making great content together, it's sad that they don't.

I definitely think they could've done what Chip & Ironicus have been doing for years and make content as a side gig supported by Patreon. A dedicated, older audience is perfect for that model.

It's an exaggeration. GiantBomb was already on the way out when VB got nepo hired (obviously a healthy, competent media enterprise would never have hired someone like her) and at most she was like smearing more shit on an open wound.

The story is (basically) she was one of the death knells of Giantbomb.

Previous to her hiring - Giantbomb was a highly regarded journalism outfit in that all of their employees had a level of integrity and work in the field. Even the slimy Patrick Kelpek and Austin Walker had a real body of work before getting hired. Most came from IGN, Gamespot, GI, whatever but it was usually not "Some youtuber" and "some youtuber" was the kind of people they used to make fun on.

Her impact was near immediate - she became such a diversion during the Game of the Year that they essentially were forced to change the format of one of their most popular segments and seemingly went "soft" on a lot of other areas as a result. There were other things (behind the scenes cost cutting and the new owners planning on moving away from Jeff as a leader) that really killed GB, but Jess is where they lost most of their cred with their audience.

Only a little bit. She has consistently ruined everything shes touched. She tramples all over other people when they're talking, shes not funny and she imposes a "dont be funny" atmosphere in any group shes in since she's the kind of schizo that fits every stereotype for a lefty and she WILL be offended. The only type of humor that's allowed past her filter is effectively just reddit tier baby talk.

They for sure should have done that, and just put out content whenever their schedules aligned for them to get together. Letting the channel just rot away and die was such a waste.

Chuggaconroy came back and I honestly couldn’t be happier for him. I haven’t watched one of his series since his original Xenoblade chronicles series, but hearing him say his intro out loud made me tear up a little. I’ll be sure to catch this one whenever I can. So glad he beat the allegations and found the passion to return to his work.
