VB could have the moral highground about how we waste time hating on her if it weren't for the fact that she's spending even more time obsessing over us hating her than we do actually hating her. That's not even including everybody else who hates her that she autistically responds to with paragraphs of whining such as the people on her Twitter, Youtube comments, Curiouscat, Somethingawful, and well... practically everywhere else.

Mocking someone for having no life as a response to their critical speech rings hollow when you routinely make page-long diatribes to respond.

At Stonecutter University, our most respected autisfessors refer to this phenomenon as the Waterman Hypothesis.

I'll bet you anything she's at least partially pulling this out of her ass to save face.

Let's not kid ourselves: This is her fucking job. Not streaming or Let's Plays. If idiots will give her money to argue on Twitter all day, it means that's what they want. For every post anybody here spends two minutes writing, she exerts ten times as much energy responding and pulling her hair out.

This dumb bitch will be back in a week. She can't live without the attention.

Also it seems like Slowbeef's getting really rusty when it comes to insulting people on the internet. Five different tweets about this thread, and all he can manage to do is say people are being immature and call out on the people using anime avatars. Come on man you can at least say we're exceptional, nobody's going to hunt you down for that.
I'm betting that he has a whole lot of mean things to say to us but the kind of language he'd want to use isn't tolerated in his new social circle. Apparently it became the consensus among leftists recently that even the word "dumb" is problematic because the word was originally used to refer to mentally disabled people.

I've got you brah.

Looks like the image is broken - I assume you happen to be following her? Regardless, thanks a lot!

Unrelated, yesterday I made the unwise choice to wade through Void's "best" ask.fm answers and archived a whole bunch of them. Some highlights:
GamerGate according to VoidBurger (http://archive.is/z8ntx) said:
sorry VB but i'm a bit of a nerd's nerd so I would like to ask what the the fuck is gamergate about? i was under the impression that it was about game journalism.
Once upon a time, a bitter exboyfriend posted an extraordinarily long shamepost about his exgirlfriend, claiming she slept with 5 different men while they were dating and asking 4chan to raise an army to ruin her life and career. Under normal circumstances, this would have been treated like "who cares", right? But alas, his ex is a female independent game developer. 4chan, if you don't know, really hates women. Many gamers, if you don't know, also have a warped view of women and hate anyone who make games that "aren't real games." They had already harassed her about her game that was an interactive fiction about living with depression (and is free.) If this woman weren't a games developer, or if the genders were switched and it was a female writing that giant post, VERY few people would have given a shit about this. 4chan and some gamers find it unbelievable that anyone would like Depression Quest and that it would be successful, also they cannot fathom that a woman could accomplish anything without secret help, or using feminine wiles to hypnotize people. So the mob began. There was a video made about the relationship post, her nudes circulated, her address was found, death threats and rape threats intensified, her father was called at his work and told his daughter was a whore. Adam Baldwin (Jayne from Firefly) got involved because he's a conservative sexist fuckhead, and he dubbed the scandal "Gamergate" when he retweeted the video about this woman's sexlife.A few articles happened condemning the movement, saying that these harassers are not the demographic developers should aim for, these aren't "gamers." The idea of "gamers" is over. That got more channers/gamers angry because they can't read. And they harassed and scared off even more women and minorities in games. Then someone on the 4chan IRCs realized "Hey this might make us look bad, we should say this isn't about harassing a woman and scaring tons of other lady/PoC devs away from their jobs. What if we spun this around to be about ethics in games journalism." And now they're using "ethics in journalism" as a front for, you guessed it, harassing women and minorities out of gaming, something they have wanted to do for years and didn't have a good enough excuse to get away with it. Anyone in this movement for honest "journalism" reasons is a fool at best, and a disingenuous shitlord at worst.By the way, all claims that this woman has slept around for coverage and positive reviews were proven false about a week or two into this mess. The people she had sex with had nothing to do with her game's success, have never reviewed her game, ANYTHING. It's been about 3 months of this shit now and I'm pretty tired of it. It's not about ethics in game journalism, that's just a front for a harassment operation to get people they dislike out of their gaming treehouse. They're setting back the popular opinion of gamers by decades, too. Great job, guys.

You spend most of your day on Twitter and ask.fm. You tell me off for getting mad at strangers but you doing that is the entire reason this happened. Every time someone says something remotely negative about you either you or your fans get defensive. And I'm the one that can't admit to being wrong?
I was just away cooking delicious steak and rice and watching a silly horror movie with my super cute and funny boyfriend while you were writing three more DEFINITELY not-mad things at me on the internet that I could effortlessly debunk and mock in two minutes. I'm not even stressed here, this is like an energizing cup of coffee to me. You're so hilariously obsessed with hatred that you can't imagine why people would be nice to others without an ulterior motive. You're gonna die one day, and you're doing THIS instead of cooking delicious steak and watching bad horror movies? C'mon man. Fix your priorities. Spend more time liking stuff and less time hating stuff. I really should have no affect on your life, and you're giving me all this power here for no reason. Let it go, be happy for a change.

I'm sorry some folks have been stalking you and shitting up your ask.fm But... Don't you think it's unhealthy to devote 90%+ of your twitter presence to baiting these harassers even further? I know it's not my place but wouldn't you be happier if you focused on something less toxic?

90% of a DAY, more like. Don't act like my twitter is always like this, I sure don't. Out of 365 days in a year, let's say a week of my year is like this (which is about right.) That's not a crazy amount of my time, and I want people to know harassment is real and happens for the piss-poorest reasons.

Void demonizes MRAs in the midst of a tragedy & faces the music for it (http://archive.is/Nadxq) said:
A little disappointed in the angle you've taken on this Elliot Rodgers tragedy. I've been a fan for a couple of years and agree with you on a lot of stuff. I don't like the Men's Right's Activist movement, but to say it's to blame is to push a lie to suit narrative. You know better than that.
First of all: Please don't act like you know me, and that you know that I "know better than that," that's super condescending.

Secondly, I *do* know better than that and tweeted three things about NOT blaming one thing (which I don't intend to):
https://twitter.com/VoidBurger/status/470268260047675393
https://twitter.com/VoidBurger/status/470268539593822208
https://twitter.com/VoidBurger/status/470268916179402752

I'm lumping in MRAs with general misogyny in that last tweet (because you can't be an MRA without being misogynist.) I mean to say that misogyny (and MRAs and all of misogyny's offshoots and symptoms) seem to be the main motivation here. This is mostly because the dude himself made it very apparent that this crime was committed for precisely that reason, he hated women. Secondary reasons may include: weak gun control facilitating access to firearms, potential mental instability, the futility of law enforcement, and about twenty other things. Are you saying that I'm wrong to blame misogyny for a terrorist attack on women?

Basically if you took this thread and switched out Voidburger for PewdiePie it'd be okay
Voidburger I honestly hope youre still reading this thread and I wish you would take this post and really look at it and reflect on why people are so inflammatory about you, the state of politics and all this other shit.

I could sperg harder about it, but it would be a little bit hypocritical of me because it's on KF and this site has a shit reputation so you cant wax on about morals--but I just saw Ravana's post and it summed up what I would have meant and did it in a much more poetic and ironic ending to it all that I feel like it needs a signal boost.

Look at this Voidburger, and try to understand that empathy doesnt make you a nazi, even if you kind of empathize that it doesnt make you better just because you punched a nazi. You can disagree with what a person does or says but still think they have a right to exist and speak.

But I thought that the narrative was that you don't enjoy people calling you out and they're evil harassers?

This just reeks of "I'm not mad, you're mad!" - a common tactic with her. I feel like she tends to project onto others like this.

That, and her "I could debunk all your points with the greatest of ease, but I don't want to" attitude. It's easy to read that as "I don't have any way of combating your points, so I'm just going to chicken out and leave".
