I used to think that DarkId was pretty okay, but I get the feeling he's just more stealthy about his goony opinions. It hasn't permeated everything he says like with Voidburger, but he has taken a couple of easy jabs at GG in his Nier: Automata LP, which is super autistic to me, because nobody except lolcows care about GG anymore. And that's coming from a guy who watches people play games on the internet.

Here's his most recent one, which is doubly funny because as far as I know, nobody knew this had happened until well after it was too late to protest anyway:

I can't comment on DarkId specifically because I have never seen him speak about anything like this but I'm no longer sure when to believe one of them even means it or if they're just sucking up to the leadership anymore. It gets difficult to trust the authenticity of a populace where wrongthink gets you shunned, banned, and possibly lynch-mobbed by the rest of the people who are afraid of drawing scrutiny to themselves.

I don't get the impression pro GG types ever censored stuff much, since they could count on the majority opinion being in their favour on the sites where they were active. Anti GG had to take action against "hate speech" in case someone ended up revealing Brianna Wu was as real a woman as Tomgirl Chris.

Runaway cowsites like KiA aside, I kind of think it's the opposite. Anti-GG/SocJus feels pretty damn confident in being the majority or "mainstream" specifically because their leadership silences every dissenter they can.

Then again, maybe they really are a lot more terrified of free expression than the other side specifically because their narrative is a house of cards dependent on not being challenged, so maybe you're right.

imo, i dont really think it should matter what opinion someone has, as long as people have the restraint to not make it their occupation. and i do agree that GG, dispite having good intentions, was fairly autistic around the end. autistic enough to die on the hill of fucking boob sliders of all things, which is what i suspect ID is referencing, though it could also be the Fire Emblem thing which wouldnt make sense.
