Let's Players originating from Something Awful - ft. VoidBurger, General Ironicus, Bob Kamoc

I know Diabetus still streams on twitch but very sporadically. It's a shame because I actually enjoy his stuff and wish there was more of it.

One of my biggest dissapointments in that regard is his unfinished playthrough of FFX. He was doing weekly streams of it with a lady friend (I'm guessing she was his girlfriend but he never actually said who she was) and they got as far as Guadosalem when the streams stopped. When he eventually started streaming again many weeks later he had started a new game and never continued FFX.

Oh well. It's better to produce infrequent but enjoyable content than constant shit like some people.

we're both busy with life stuff is code for diabetus doesnt want to do it, slowbeef would continue making videos purely for the money. I think he knows its a better idea to wait for betus than to flood the channel with videos with other people unless he could get a guest people actually gave a damn about(which at this point would probably only be proteus or protonjon and maybe dave-o)
This is entirely correct. Diabeetus has no interest in this kind of stuff anymore and you can see that reflected pretty easily in his actions. He only tweets once in a blue moon, he deleted all of his SomethingAwful forum posts (so I heard) and doesn't interact with Slowbeef or the Retsupurae fanbase at all outside of the few times he's popped into videos.

A couple years back I remember watching a stream that Slowbeef did and Beetus guested on, I think it was of the NES game "Shadowgate" in preparation for the remake that was later released on Steam. That stream made me realize how little Diabeetus cares about the Retsupurae stuff these days and I can't really blame him for that. His involvement in the stream consisted of around thirty minutes of making fun of Slowbeef followed by asking "...Is it okay if I leave?" and hopping out way earlier than was planned. Plus- didn't one of them get married, invite the other to their wedding and they opted not to go? This is all just kind of cursory knowledge from having followed them for so many years but I definitely remember one of them talking about it. I think it was Slowbeef who got married and invited Diabeetus.

Slowbeef seems to be the driving force behind their YouTube channel and even then it never made enough money to justify sticking around even just to phone it in.

I was more talking about from the perspective of a long term viewer those are the three names that would generate enough buzz to get people to care although chip is a pretty good call too. I just dont see psychadelic eyeball or tietuesday having enough pull i could be wrong though and voidburger is just always a controversial enough figure to switch half the people who would be interested off.

Yeah i think it was slowbeefs wedding if i remember correctly at that time diabetus was unemployed and then moved to a different state for a job. The unemployed part is a little hazy im not sure if he was or thats just what i thought because of the relatively large amount of content he put out about that time.

Pretty sure Dave-o was driven enough by the Retsupurae audience, they just went absolutely ballistic on him after that podcast where he said he voted Trump. I don't think he's even that much of a "true believer", he just didn't want to vote for Clinton.
im sure he could still get psychedelic eyeball, Chip and/or irocnicus and voldburger maybe TieTusday(not sure what there standing is after the shmorky business)
Slowbeef is practically best friends with TieTuesday, they got to shit like MAGfest together. He essentially severed with Lowtax after Shmorky/the LPer meltdown happened and is firmly on the LPer side.

This doesn't surprise me at all. As far back as the Rongpuraes, I got the sense that Slowbeef was more or less the driving force of the channel, hunting down longplays of terrible games no one but Slowbeef would have ever heard of, and the like, while Diabetus was more the passive observer that was only there because he had to be there. To nobody's surprise, this kind of content production model likely wore him down a bit. Couple this with Beef's, frankly, unhinged behavior of late, and the writing was on the wall.

I’ve actually volunteered to be on slowbeef’s podcast a couple of times although not in the last year or two I think. He acts receptive but then never actually plans anything or whatever. It’s probably in his best interest not to, tbh, I’d just go on and do my usual schtick and shit on him and his fans.

He has fans?

So VoidBurger tweeted a couple of days ago about her job (she got one earlier this year, for anyone not keeping up). She apparently was instructed to clean literal shit off the back of a toilet seat:

I haven't been following her on social media and haven't been watching her videos much, so I don't know what her job actualy is, does anyone here know?

Because I'm really curious about her work environment that one of her superiors feels comfortable telling her to clean up human shit? And also that she would agree to do it. And then tweet about it.

She's dating another LP goon so obviously she's pretty comfortable being around huge piles of shit.

When he isn't with Diabetus, Slowbeef isn't funny at all imo (and, to be fair, I feel the same way about Diabetus; these guys are a great duo but nothing individually).

One of Slowbeef's greatest attempts at "humour":

I'd forgotten about Slowbeef white-knighting Dina to the point of recording this embarrassing bullshit. This situation is hilarious in retrospect, given how MN9 turned out and how Slowbeef shit all over it in a podcast.

Lol, it's almost like jobs suck sometimes and part of life is doing things you don't like doing.

But what would a rat-race fucker like me know? I don't even have a graphic design degree.

As Faith No More put it, it's a dirty job, but someone's got to do it. Why should a Mexican cleaner do it rather than a vapid, entitled twat who shrieks on Twitter all day?

Let's Play retards respond to the recent American tax reforms:
VoidBurger retweets support for mass killings and tweets about Republicans being evil etc:

And, unrelated to the tax bullshit, VoidSperger has a great idea for a contemporary Christmas tale:

General Ironicus dutifully posts the necessary tweets to keep his leftist credibility:

Chip Cheezum retweets the laughably badly-written, cringey spergling of a "games journalist":
upload_2017-12-2_12-52-23.png

Chip also retweeted the same guillotine image as VoidBurger.

I wonder how brave these people would be if a civil war actually happened; for some reason I'm struggling to imagine Chip manlet Cheezum and "I have panic attacks thinking of Trump" VoidBurger in a fighting unit, armed and putting themselves at risk for their revolution.

Though I have a feeling what they're imagining is more along the lines of them being part of a firing squad that kills a bunch of unarmed Republicans and their families that are lined up against a wall.
