For fuck sake, what was the point in them making a new LP forum and then making it exactly the same as the current day SA LP forum? Your 10 bucks are safe ya fucking snow flakes. And why not just fucking delete that whole trigger warning section and say "No games before 2010 as people were not big fucking soyboy pussies back then and you may experience something more extreme than The Teletubbies."

How do you even know what to put there? Do you have to play the game first and write down every moment that could possibly offend someone and make sure it is listed as a warning? Shouldn't it be up to the triggeree not the triggerer to research the game being played and see if their parents will allow them to watch a playthrough of it?

I enjoy Niggurath / Iconoclast187 as well, I recall he would often get comments from other SAers that were pissed off because someone more interesting than him should of LPed the game instead of him and that his stuff was very vanilla.

I started watching CarcinogenSDA's RE7 run and it is very entertaining, there is something great about seeing someone master a game and breeze through areas you struggled with.

One thing that boggles my mind when I check out the SA LP forums is how big screen shot LPs are still. I loath them. They work okay for the odd game where nothing is lost in translation like Zork 1-3 (techically just a text LP but the only games I could think of). Even something like Rogue or Dwarf fortress I find hard to follow if it is LPed via screenshot. And you miss out on the games music, sound effects, animations, etc. The only people they benefit are self insert fanfic writers.

I can think of one thing screenshot lp's can have as a positive: No need to listen to goons, especially those with annoying voices, are shit at the game and start blaming the game for their own fauls, the sjws and other crazies (for example compare Slowbeef screenshots lps and his Metroid Prime lps, they is a difference )

For games with lots of repetitive gameplay elements, the screenshot format may be better too. A good example would be turn-based RPGs – you could edit out majority of useless battles in video but editing it all out could be more time consuming than it is worth it.

A lot of games are 95% repetitive horseshit that nobody wants to watch, and in those cases screenshots can be a better choice

Dominions 3 multiplayer LPs

There are a fair few Dominions MP VLPs nowadays (they just splice together their turn commentary), but they're kind of miserable to watch, even at x1.5 speed. That game just makes people waffle on endlessly. The SS LPs were always better structured and had more information density, because with an SS LP you always have to think about what you do include while with a VLP you have to think about what you don't include (and more often than not, the answer seems to be everything). I think the same is true for games like Crusader Kings 2 or Europa Universalis.

I will say strategy games tend to do better with screenshot LPs than most other genres, since I used to love reading the old AARs on Paradox games in their forums.

It can also cut down time in some RPGs as well, so it does actually have a niche IMO.

I WISH I could watch SGF's newer stuff but now he's doing streams and even though he's not a typical mentally unwell goon/tumblrfuck, his chat sure as hell is. I gave up when he was streaming a successor to XBOX live indie games, where he played through indie games on xbone for 8 minutes, and one of the games was a notebook-doodle CYOA type game, but when the game DARED TO HAVE DONALD TRUMP appear and then GAVE THE CHOICE TO FOLLOW HIM OR NOT, the chat was constantly making progressively more faggoty UGH posts. I'm pretty sure he doesn't have an official discord still, because I remember his fan one was infested with trannies and current year moral outrage. SGF's streams are like having to read 200 lefty tards twitter screeches about trannyism capitalism and drumpf all at once

It would be nice if they could treat video games as a nice break from reality like the rest of us do and leave politics at the door. Sadly just talking about the game you are streaming doesn't keep you out of SJW hot water, at some point the fact you didn't talk about politics will anger them as "Not wanting politics in games is a political statement" and "Everything is political".

I much prefer his playthroughs where he already knows the game and can be more informative, his Siren playthrough being my favorite. If a game is weird or bad it can be enteraining to watch someone stumble through it blind, or if it is a group playing a multiplayer game, otherwise I would rather play the game myself. What I look for in a stream/LP/playthrough is to get an informed commentary on the game and hopefully learn quite a bit by the end of it.

I take back what I said about screen shot LPs, there are many cases where it works well and I also had forgotten I used to enjoy the Civilization SSLPs that were written in a news broadcast format on the Civ board.

Christwagons. I used to think this dude was kinda funny when he partnered up with mynameiskaz on a couple of really old school SNES RPG games when mynameiskaz was LPing. I can't remember which games he did, but I remember medibot being a guest host for additional commentary.

If I recall, he was on one of AGDQ streams in its early incarnation (pre-2014 before it went to complete shit) before GDQ became its own entity, they used to have post-GDQ bonus streams andhosting, and medibot hosted a Yoshi Cookie tournament. It was entertaining at the time.

Now he's just a faggot in a dress pretending to be a woman. Sad!

Nah, this dude's comments might be out of left field but they're spot on. TDI is a full on RESPECT WOMYN Antifa cheerleader nowadays, and he constantly tries to use his family for internet brownie points ("I'm married and have kids! TDI loves pretending to be some kinda bad boy with military experience from Iraq, but ultimately he's just an insecure dumbass nerd obsessed with videogames who never even saw action, with nothing else to his name. So he got one thing right, don't meet your "heroes", because they're often more pathetic than even you.

I know it's kinda weird and random to make an account to reply to a three year old post, but I'm here because from time to time I'll fall into a Google rabbit hole about "ID" and it led me here.

I won't say how, but I am related to him and I've been trying to let people know for fucking YEARS this dude is a fraud and liar. He was never in the military, he's 35 and been unemployed almost his entire life and leeches off his elderly dad. He has never been married and has no kids. His conversations with his "wife" on Twitter are him talking to himself. I could go on but in short he's fucking insane.

Ive tried to tell people this in the past but that motherfuckers got like a cult of weirdies that defend him and he just blocks me when I try and call him out. This is the first place I've found that says anything negative about him. I don't know why I'm writing all this and I don't expect anyone to care but if at least one person gets anything out of this then it was worth it.
