Let's talk about odd character design choices

Like the title says, I want to hear what you have to say about character designs that left you scratching your head. They can be concept art or designs that made the final cut. Just as long as it's shit you found weird.

For example, on the left, this was the new design they had planned out for the Klonoa remake on the Wii before the fans shat on it. Doesn't seem like too big of a deal unless you just like the ears until you remember that one of Klonoa's core abilities was flapping those big ass ears of his to hover and that wasn't happening with the new look. Makes me wonder what the hell the artists were thinking when they came up with a look that actually fucked with a mechanic.

I think that may be from the Underfist movie where everything style-wise went to hell in an attempt to make a new series using side characters.

Peach in Mario & Rabbids: Kingdom Battle doesn't really seem to know what she wants to be gameplay wise. Her passive ability is that she can heal her allies by jumping close to them, but her weapons deal friendly fire damage and are all short range meaning she wants to be close to the enemy instead of near her friends to heal them.
