I'm shocked that the absolutely psychotic Bone Tomahawk review by nathaxnne hasn't been mentioned yet in this thread, it's a barrage of progressive guilt that is mind numbing to try and read.

I won't go into too many details to avoid power levelling, but I had a friend group centered in letterboxd once that was somewhat connected to Sally Jane Black through one person. They were a terrible influence on them and led them to treat a mutual friend poorly, eventually causing the entire group to dissolve. SJB is also in tight with letterboxd higher ups, so if any conflict comes up surrounding her mods will take her side all the time. Letterboxd is great from a management standpoint, but community wise it's a cesspool.

Too be fair, there aren't a ton of joke reviews (yet). Any actual critiques of reviews I would probably save until I see the film (which I might not ever do). Also, there are a few people that are more critical of the leniency towards history.

I know it's supposed to be for "reviews", but I really don't mind that most people on this site just treat it like a comment section. I might read a sentence length joke about a film, but I'm never gonna read a short novel some idiot wrote about how Apocalypse Now is bad and racist, actually.

I never understood the appeal of this site. IMDB has the exact same features but with a better UI and somewhat better reviewer community with less shitty takes.
